Great independent locally owned restaurant with a nice range of food options across their menu. I recommend the burger option (pictured) and the chocolate brownie (pictured) dessert, but in truth I’ve tried several things across their menu and everything is well presented and equally tasty! And for special occasions and larger groups they also do well at catering for special requests. They also have lunch offerings for take away too, like sandwiches etc, from their cafe area at the front of the restaurant. Definitely worth a visit!

Love the A canteen it has a great friendly vibe about it. Situated in a great place not far from station. Always buzzing no matter what time you visit either breakfast, lunch or dinner. Thank you to Emma, Saffron and the team.

A great weekend spent at ACanteen! Friday night we celebrated a family birthday with dinner and dancing. Sunday we returned with the kids and friends for their 'Two Step Tots' event. We had so much fun! Such a great atmosphere for both events. Lovely food and really friendly staff both serving and helping with the bookings. Looking forward to coming again!

Came here for a quick weekday lunch - the place was lively, but not overly so when we sat down. Orders were taken at the bar or by QR code scanning. We ordered the Reuben fries and a pizza to share between us - and it was all great, really good flavours and fresh tasting. The staff were friendly and bubbly, and I would love to visit again to try more of the menu.

Had amazing nightlife! Music is extremely loud but the staff are super friendly. Came down to watch magic mike and the atmosphere was awesome! Food was good and drinks were good but a little pricy..definitely will be back!

I attended an event here and loved the venue. Great bar staff, wonderful atmosphere, loved the different seating areas and really nice to see a dance floor! Will definitely return 😁 (I didn't eat on this occasion, hence I'm unable to score the food)

We had a brilliant time at the two step tots brunch. The food was delicious, hot and portions big. The children really enjoyed the freedom to get up and join in whenever they wanted. Music was spot on and LaraG has the most incredible voice. All round a fabulous Sunday afternoon and very much look forward to the next time. Thanks ACanteen!

I booked boozy bingo hosted by two fabulous drag queens for my specsavers team & we were all blown away by the event! The whole atmosphere was incredible, the service 10/10 & the food delicious! Would 100% come back for more boozy bingo but also just a meal/drinks because it’s the best service I’ve ever received in Chelmsford! The whole experience is a bargain aswell for the games/entertainment you get!

Delicious lunch. Many vegan options. Only 4 stars because their Christmas menu was very disappointing re the vegan food. Their food otherwise is very nice, I'm glad my friends convinced me to go again

A family group breakfast was thoroughly enjoyed by all 11 of us. The service was efficient and friendly. We were not rushed and had plenty of time to enjoy a variety of different breakfast options, all well presented and tasty. A bit pricey compared to some places, but the food and drinks were very good, the restaurant spacious and the atmosphere pleasant. Well worth a visit for a special breakfast get together.
