This is one of my favorite steak and hoagie joints. And they've added a dine-in area which is really cool showcasing iconic area sports and organizations memorabilia!!!

Absolutely the best cheesesteak and hoagie experience when in the Philadelphia area.
My Wife grew up in Parkside/Wallingford area, and this was not only my first cheesesteak over 30 years ago but continues to satisfy this old Texan every time we come to the area for a visit.
Unmatched quality and a really good price, plus an authentic experience!!

I had the most incredible experience at this place today! I was just in town for the day and wanted to grab a cheesesteak since I can't get them where I live in Maryland and Phil & Jim's far exceeded my expectations. In fact, it's the best steak shop I have ever visited. The food alone is worthy of praise, but everybody there was just so incredibly friendly! I want to give special acknowledgement to the cook who recognized the band logo on the shirt I was wearing then came to talk to me a little later about some of the similar bands we are into. If I'm ever traveling in the region again I will definitely stop in again!

I've gotten many recommendations for this place so decided to give it a try. It was absolutely atrocious. I ordered a burger which was pretty good until about halfway in when I bit into either something burnt or rotten and had to spit it out. I also had mozzarella sticks with a marinara dipping sauce that was ice cold and tasted and smelled like it was laced with liquor. Then there's the chicken cheesesteak with just ketchup that I ordered. As you can see in the picture, which is the way it looked when I unwrapped it, no ketchup, but they decided to top it with peppers and pickles instead! I will never give my business to this place again. I would give zero stars if I could.

Damn fine steak. Well seasoned and perfectly balanced ratios. A 12" should be enough. Beef is chopped a little fine, but not dry and has a nice chew. Roll held up until the last bite.

My family and I stopped in, unexpectedly as a detour from our family trip out of town, with hopes of finding a good cheesesteak spot since we’re in the Philly area.. what we didn’t expect was to not only find an amazing cheesesteak but also great hospitality! The owner and staff were so accommodating and delivered the best service. If I could give it 10 out of 5 stars I would!
