I am gluten free and there is only certain chip shop that cater for us. So this is a great find. I have tried this twice now and one of the best around. First time I got fish and chips the second I got fish dab and chips. The fish dab was definitely the best I have had, even before I become gluten free, loads of fish in middle and batter is gorgeous. Deffo would recommend to anyone.
Don’t be put off if you see the shop busy, it’s because they’re cooking everything fresh to order and the fish is always cooked so well. Very friendly staff and home made brownies are delicious.
The kebabs are huge, you also get the option of a free portion of chips or pot of sauce.

Best Fish n Chips in the UK nevermind the North East. Fish is cooked to order just how you like it. Portions are so large I've never known anyone finish a whole meal. Amazing choice of other foods on the menu with monthly specials. Great value Lunchtime Specials and the kebabs are something else. Can't rate this shop, food and staff highly enough. You won't be disappointed.
We ordered fish and chips, salt and pepper squid. Tartar sauce was lovely, squid was more batter than squid, but still nice with a maple and bourbon sauce. Cod was lovely, but next time would rather order small pieces. Chips could have done with more salt and vinegar.
Just got fish bites on the lunch time special. Was delicious the size of fish bites wow defo come again very helpful staff
This is a great fish & chip shop. The prices are as expected and the food is great. You may have a little wait for fish as they tend to cook to order so place your request as soon as you arrive.
Amazing mixed kebabs they are massive, Mrs loved her cod bites pure white and fluffy, staff are amazing very very helpful. We will be back for sure, thank you for your fantastic food.

Fish and Chips are out of this world! possibly the best I have ever tasted! We also added to our order some of the new items on the menu! Mexican Burger - which was nicely spiced and the sauce was delicious! Fresh crispy salad and delicious bun too! We also tried the Butterflied King Prawns - which I will be getting EVERY SINGLE TIME - cooked to perfection and you can tell by the size and the taste that they were of the highest quality! Added a home made Sweet Chilli Sauce too - Amazeballs! And they nailed the dessert! Battered Mars and then a piece of Mint Aero brownie!
An absolute credit to the community! My new favourite place for Fish and Chips - not to mention to great welcome and service we received!
