Dropped in to try the coffee here on a wander around Morningside and got a Mocha, Rarely do I notice the base taste of the coffee but this place has their own brand and it's amazing!
They only had beans for sale but it's prompted me to go spend a fortune on coffee kit so I can pick up some of these beans!
Nice surroundings, bright, welcoming and quiet. Staff were friendly on our brief encounter while ordering and paying.
Dog friendly too, but not sure we would have taken our 4 collies in :D

Good coffee good food. Atmosphere is subjective and depends on the time of day what kind of buzz there is and if you like a quiet coffee and a chat. Staff nice and helpful.

We were very happy to have found Blackwood Coffee as we were wandering the delights of Morningside.
The lady serving us has the most gorgeous flaming hair and serves the most delicious cheese scones.
Yes - we should have included one in the photo.
However, temptation overtook us and it disappeared in no time.

Really nice food, tea was a little on the pricey side but nice loose leaf. Agree with other reviewers that a tip screen on the card machine is a bit tacky when you haven’t actually experienced any service yet. I actually quite liked the aloofness of the staff, weirdly it suits the place!

Very nice atmosphere and decoration. Coffee is good, a chai was good with an absolutely lit tiffin. With subtle taste not too sweet.

A decent coffee shop. Had a nice atmosphere and tasty hot chocolate and shortbread. Had to wait quite a while as it was only one person on and it was quite busy so I felt bad for him, he seemed (rightly) stressed. Quite expensive so only 4 stars

Perfect pastrami sandwich. Lovely owner! Would be better if the mustard grains inside served separately cuz it might be too strong.
