I made a big order of baklava for our Greek-Scottish wedding as we wanted to include some Greek desserts with the teas and coffees after the meal. The baklava was excellent and liked by everyone at the wedding - we had leftovers on the Sunday and everyone raved how tasty and original it was! Even Greek people agreed! The staff were very accommodating and welcoming with my request from the start and when my MIL picked up the order they greeted her with a smile and gave her some Greek cookies as a gift! We are so satisfied with the customer service, their welcoming attitude, and the great baklava! Will definitely visit again!

It is definitely a five-star-worthy treats shop in the old town. The smily shop owner os always delightful. Their cakes are absolutly delicious; using sensible amount of sugar with the perfect combination of flavors. My birthday cake and treats were bought from here too. Their greek style coffee are also wonderful. I worked for a restaurant 10 years ago in Darwin Australia, i leart how to make a good freddo capp and espresso from authentic Greeks immigrants. So I can say slice of Greece not only made it in justice but also with love💘. I had a freddo cappuccino with cinnamon sprinkle; it made my day. I also bought the assorted cookie for my colleagues to try. Can't wait to visit again

Literally the most amazing bakery in Edinburgh, everything inside looks absolutely heavenly and made to perfection. Amazing selection of snacks both sweet and savoury. The staff were so kind and attentive. I would 100% recommend this small business to anyone. I would attach photos of what I bought but they was so good they didn’t last long enough.

Absolutely excellent quality and outstanding selection of food (and very lovely owners). I wholeheartedly recommend anything with the words "feta", "spinach", "Olive oil" or "Greek Pizza" as they're all delicious and that's without even considering the desserts. Curious walking by for 1st time since they opened and we'll be back regularly I'm sure. (And if you get to try their savoury pies go for it! Especially hot from the oven!)

I love baklava, and I eat baklava all the time and I’ve tried it in many places, and this is definitely the best I’ve ever had. Just coming back here for the second day in a row and I’ll probably come back all week

Machi and Evi!!!!!!!! I can't thank you enough!!! The cake was delicious and gorgeous!! I walked in yesterday to get a cake for my partner as it was a celebration of her name day, only to find out that they do it order and it would need some time for it to be ready.... Machi told me not to worry and that they will work on it, Evi came out of the back with a smile and reassured me that she will do her best to have it ready! And ONLY an hour and half later, surely enough, Machi calls me back to tell me that the cake is ready and waiting for me!!!! Such great customer service and such a positive atmosphere from both of them, nothing was too much and the way thay handled it goes to show how much they love what their doing!!! Thank you, thank you and thank you again to both of you!!! That's how you win loyalty in your guests! Euxaristw para polu koritsia, pragmatika itan foveri douleia! To apolause polu I eortazousa😁😁!! Kali sas sunexeia!

As I neighbor I’ve been many times since they opened, and I can’t stress enough how good this place is! Definitely your place to go if you have a sweet tooth and want to try Greek specialities, from coffee to pies and some other Greek goodies. Machi and her colleague are always friendly and welcoming and will help you to choose among all their variety. Quality fresh products and amazing prices make it one of my fav spots in Edinburgh for food and a good chat!

Been wanting to try the Slice of Greece since I started drooling over its Instagram profile. Finally made it in to buy something sweet to enjoy in the sunshine with my husband and ended up buying 6! We have saved some for later!!! Everything looked amazing and the choices we made were delicious! Can't wait to go back.

Omg this is my heaven. My wife and I walked passed this place the other week and I was immediately blown away. My pastry brain was desperate to try some of their goodies. Baclava’s are usually quite small enough so you could have a few of them in one sitting but the ones they sell here are enormous. In fact most things they sell are massive. This doesn’t help my gluttonous but I am not complaining. The woman that served us was incredibly friendly and helpful. She was very well educated on all of the items and told us how things were made and what ingredients they use. She provided recommendations which I also appreciate because I am a very indecisive person. I ended up going with Galaktoboureko Mastic and this pistachio spiral pastry. The mastic is similar to the original but is in a crown nest with a unique syrup on the outside. She said that it is quite a different flavour from your normal syrups so I had to give it a try. Both of the pastries I got were incredible. The pistachio one was maybe slightly better but I absolutely love pistachios so it was always going to be hard to beat. The mastic is very sticky. My wife went with the chocolate orange croissant and another pastry which I can’t remember the name of. She said the croissant was ok but not nearly as good as the other pastry she got. It’s just a pitty that we are very rarely in the side of town or else we’d be at this shop all the time. They do have some savoury options as well so I’ll need to come back to try them. Oh what a wonderful shop!
