CRYING!!!! THEY HAVE CLOSED THE DOORS LOVED THEIR FOOD Went on a rainy Monday, around 2:30. Not many cars. Dotted with people we found a spot at the bar. NASCAR was on instead of any other sport. Drinks were strong, but not amazing. Beer was ice cold on drought! Bartender was friendly enough. Food was really good. We only had appetizers, but spinach dip was fresh, the pretzels and beer cheese were soft and plentiful and the steak bites were flavorful and not overdone. We'll be going back. Only disappointment.... no happy hour any more.

I got recommended to take my date here to eat because I didn't really know anyplace in the holt/lansing area but the food here is superb and the service was top notch the atmosphere was good except when the karaoke started some of them people couldn't sing to save their lives but still had a great time.

Frankly, we came here last Saturday because Buddie's looked to be sooooo crowded. We were surprised Charlie's wasn't busier as the food and drink was very good. Our salads were obviously NOT what my wife refers to as "bag salads' but had been assembled from fresh greens. Her Mac n cheese was huge and constructed of a delicious blend of cheeses. My Reuben was delicious. We also appreciated that tables were positioned throughout so there was a good deal of space separating us from neighboring diners. Several large screen TVs had college games going, but the sound was turned down low enough not to be intrusive. We'd last been at this locale when it was still Sammie's Paddock. Charlie's has cleaned up the dining room and brought a very reasonably priced selection of well prepared comfort foods. Try them out....they deserve a larger clientele.

Since my last review I've spoken to the manager and was told why the pizza was so bad. Their oven was having problems and when it was discovered it was shut down and they were sorry and I'll be getting a replacement pizza when I go again. Was very impressed and glad as we've always enjoyed Charlie's!

We really enjoyed our burgers, they were delicious 😋. Had a very friendly waitress named Sarah, that I crossed when I was a crossing guard at Sycamore Elementary. She was a very little girl and she's a very nice young lady. Charlie's is very lucky to have her as a waitress 👍🙂. Prices weren't bad for their great burgers.

We rode our bikes to Holt ad stopped by this restaurant for our first visit. Service on the patio was outstanding. I had the steak salad and it was the most generous salad I've had in a very long time. The adult beverages we icey cold. Just a good place to relax and have a cold one with an excellent bite to eat.
