The staff are all very friendly and go above and beyond to make sure your Reds experience is one to remember.. And Carly was brilliant....she remembered every order without a single mistake and made us feel very welcome, and their service was fast and very professional, the food was amazing and piping hot....

1) Ambiance (0.5/1) - Dimly lit, warm and the seating arrangement can get a bit too packed on busy days.
2) Food (0.75/1) - Their portions of meat is massive! Went with the lab bunch here and most of us had one if their burgers along with their fries (normal fries/swine fries/sweetpotato fries etc! Their meat (chicken/pork/beef/ mix of more than one meat) and veggie burgers both were loved by their respective eaters! The only thing I didn't really enjoy were their chicken wings - chewy, way too much bone for wings and felt unfres. This was completely opposite to the fresh and delicious burgers they served us😅😅 3) Service (1/1) - Very friendly and on time
4) Innovation and technique (0.5/1) - An american style bbq joint that has kept up their work in serving generous portions and well cooked meaty food! A few more combination of meats & sauces would be great!
5) VFM (0.75/1) - I don't remeber how much the total bill for the 9 of us was but I do remember paying nearly £15 for food and drinks (buy one get one or BOGO) and with 40% off for students.
Overall - 3.5/5 , Definitely recommended for a meat feast or even for their vegetarian beanie burger along with friends/family
Dining at Reds is a true religious experience for your taste buds . So what the wait is excruciating long . Once you make it in , the BBQ ribs make up for everything like a Bandage for the soul. A truly great Texan BBQ experience and even the steak is to die for. And you gotta love the service.

I would give this place a FIVE only if my mate didn't find a strand of HAIR in his meal! That was a huge disappointment and obviously ended up ruining my appetite. However, I shall give credit where it's due.
The Juicy Lucifer burger - It was undoubtedly one of the best burgers I've ever had - the jalapeños, the pickles made it just about spicy enough and the cheese and mustard oozing out from it definitely made it one messy burger but in a finger licking good way! The fries were average....I'd opt for the sweet potato fries next time (I had one tiny sweet potato fry on my place probably got mixed by mistake but it was good!).
Tango float - It was average as well - I'd try one of their shakes the next time (CHOCOLATE AND SALTED CARAMEL SHAKE MAYBE!!!!).
Onion rings - These were hands down the best onion rings I've had till date - its so big and crispy! I'd definitely recommend this.
Smoked Cheese and Jalapeno Sausage - It was so juicy and flavourful. I can never have any other sausage again without wishing it was this! That good!
Burnt Ends - Brisket point nuggets, sauced and triple smoked. It was a tad bit sweet for my liking and my mate spotted a hair in it too and that ruined it for him. I'd stay away from this next time.
Overall, it was value for money. The place was slightly cramped however, the food if chosen well would make up for this!

So after hearing about this place and it's truly American feel, we thought we'd pop in for a Sunday brunch. Everything about this place, from its decor, to its language used in its menu's to even the voice mail that redirects you when you call them is oozing out their American nature. Seated immediately even though we were about a half hour late from our reservation, we were handled quite well by each and every member of the staff. Each and every item on the menu was sounding equally delish so it took us quite a bit of time to get to finalize. We ordered a peanut butter milkshake, had continuous refills of tap water in a bottle (which they'd do without us having to ask them) and an order of fried Mac and cheese balls. After that, among us we each ordered about a dish. I went for the Month's special Houston Slopper. As per its name, it was sloppy, dirty but just perfect. No complaints from the burger. The Juicy Lucifer was also ordered by my friends which I was jealous I didn't order since that was the only thing seeming better than mine. We also ordered a BBQ tray which was with a beef rib and chicken. The chicken was nice and slow cooked so it was tender. However, the beef rib kicked the chicken off the bar since it was superbly tender and had a fine taste to it.
Great service over all and great food. Overall value for money was great with regards to the sizes of their portions too. Will deffos go back again.
Red serves some of the better bbq I've had in the uk. The swine fries are a must. The ribs are also excellent, as are their milkshakes. The brisket I had was very fatty. But other than that, everything from the slaw to beans are very good. Only real complaint is that the place is VERY cramped. Also, while I'm sure their burgers are fine, try the actual bbq! Most of the diners in the place had burgers.
I don’t know, but I’m not complaining, and even though I exaggerate slightly, there do seem to be loads of rib joints springing up all over the city. This one, Red’s True Barbecue, is the current, undisputed leader of the pack. Red’s has developed a sort of semi-religious following over the last few months. People speak of it in slightly awed, often hushed tones, of the smoke and the food, and the impossibility of getting a table. It’s hammed up by the restaurant itself, with clever marketing encouraging ‘belief’ and devotion. Their irreverent take on the creation story made me smile.
Really cool BBQ joint. Having sampled the best of Nashville last summer this wasn't a bad comparison which is praise indeed!

I had brisket, BBQ greens & slaw. All excellent. The brisket was very authentically Nashville.
Very busy so book if you can. The staff do a good job turning over the tables.
Make sure you come hungry. There are some epic offerings on the menu!
I had the joy of munching on a pit burger and what a burger it was this is my kinda joint lots of wood n lots of meat even the smell of the place when you walk in is awesome. Yes the wait for a table is a bit of a pain but you can ease this pain by going to one of the many pubs near by. Let there be meat!
Me and three friends went here on a Sunday evening. We were very happy with the food, service and price. I would defiantly recommend!!
Had the hot wings challenge, very nice and the waffle burger is amazing. The waffle itself is sweet which balances out the chicken tender. The staff here are friendly and sweet. We came at around 6, didn't book a table but managed to get one before it get busy. Definitely come back again as me and my partner both enjoyed it!
The donut burger was elite. I’ll defo want to come again. This is my second visit here and I’ve not been disappointed. Also the fired pickle? Amazing.

A real experience! Was only in Leeds for a few hours and was recommended here by a friend. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was very quick and super tasty. Great atmosphere throughout. Also impressed they had vegetarian options
I haven't been to this place in years because the one in London had shut down. Used to visit this one in Leeds regularly and on return after a few years the quality is still the same. Brilliant restaurants. Just a shame a lot of them have closed down.
Second visit after going many years ago. Didn't notice the gorgeous smell hit you as you opened the door this time. Served very quickly by our server and food came fast too actually. The food was great, missed the bottles of Red's sauces on the tables though, that were there the first time we visited. Great value for money and perfect portion sizes.

Had a lovely meal of the new menu, Food was amazing! I had the Mac and cheese burger and it was incredible. Also sampled some of the new cocktails on the menu which were also delish my favourite being the fruity Collins! Staff are absolutely amazing, Molly and Owen do an amazing job at managing this place and it is very well run!
Incredible bbq restaurant. Busy even on a Wednesday night. The chicken wings are something else. Had them with hot sauce and also the blue cheese were amazing.
Then the main you pick meat and sides. Brisket and burnt ends. Certainly not on any weight watchers menu but wow just wow. Meat just falls apart, so Smokey and tender. The burnt ends are a guilty pleasure.
Fries were crispy and delicious with the range of different bbq sauces. They also do fantastic onion rings.
Friends I was with had the ribs and said they were sublime. I don’t think there is anything that won’t impress.
Only gripe is the drinks selection was lacking, a lot of drinks on the menu weren’t available. But hard to complain after such a good meal.
Beautiful food here. And the atmosphere is great. Knocked a star off the service because they forgot to put our order in straight away so we ended up having to wait a while. However they came over and explained and were very honest and apologetic. They also gave us a free drink each as an apology. Appreciated the honesty and they made sure our food got rushed when they did put it through so can't complain too much ☺️
