Me and my boyfriend visited this place for our first year anniversary meal. It was our first time there and definitely won't be our last! As soon as we walked in we were welcomed and we felt very comfortable. We ordered a meat platter for two (sorry I cant remember the name) which came out to us in three courses. It was beautiful, the flavours were so delicious. I cant wait to go back again and go through the menu. Highly recommend this place.

The inside of the restaurant is much larger than it appears from outside as it goes back a long way and there is a good mixture of tables for 2, 4 or more.
I started with the Dolmathes which were served hot and were very good with a good sauce to accompany them.
For my main course I had the Rosto - a lamb shank with in a rich red wine sauce with a hint of cinnamon which was delicious and was accompanied by lovely roast potatoes and went very well with the roast vegetables we ordered.
We had a lovely bottle of Cava Boutari which was a lovely full bodied 14% and went very well with the lamb.
The waiter was helpful in guiding us with our selections and it was a very enjoyable meal.

Very good food and a massive amount of it! The owner is super friendly and in general the staff are very nice. We had the meze set menu and we couldn't finish it all.

Was walking past looking for a place to eat, and a customer was leaving... He said "it's really good, I recommend it" He was not wrong! Service with a smile.

This restaurant, despite not looking glamorous inside or out, is one of the best Greek restaurants I have been in a while. The decor and atmosphere screams Greek, just like the extensive, traditional menu. I opted for deep fried Halloumi, which was great - lightly battered and fried, and served with a nice tangy sauce. Mains was a Moussaka, which was nicely filled and layed, with a great flavour to it. Service was good. Overall a great experience and a perfect example of not judging a book by its cover / not judging a restaurant's food by the way it looks.

Excellent Greek cuisine in the bustling area of Manchester! Service can be inconsistent, but that didn't take away from a great day dinner. Worth a visit!

This is a nice Greek restaurant on Wilmslow Road, next to one of the university campus. There is a good number of tables and the restaurant goes way back and is deceptively large.

We were seated quite quickly but then the service slowed considerably. The place was less than half full but it took at least 10 mins for the waiter to take our drinks order and was insistent on coming back later for the food order.

Despite the slow service on this particular evening, the food was of excellent quality. There was a wide range of authentic dishes and I thoroughly enjoyed my souvlaki.

I would recommend this restaurant for the food but the service needs to be quicker.

MelbourneHeart. A lovely old traditional Greek style Mediterranean restaurant with a delicious menu. Though somewhat pricey my food was excellent and copious enough that I was at bursting point after my main meal.

Tonight we ventured from our home to the highly acclaimed Kosmos Taverna. Outwardly, this was a minor feat as the Taverna is practically next door to us, ‘though with the immense amount of food we inadvertently ordered it became a blessing. If extracting only one thing from this recommendation let it be this; do not make the mistake we did – remember that at this traditional Greek restaurant the portions are, errr… traditionally hearty (and if you do forget, nor is it a good idea to – however scrumptious the meal – attempt to ‘squeeze it in’). Do not follow our example. We arrived with the intention to make the most of the early doors menu , however I spotted that the a la carte looked far more exciting! My eating partner did opt for the former but I made the decision to delve into the larger menu… Mini Meze; Kosmos, Fallowfield For our first course, we unearthed the wonders of the mini meze; the dolmathes, the falafel and the tabbouleh salad (cracked wheat with feta, olives, p

So all in all it was a real hit and miss affair. Amazing starters, disappointing main courses and the timings of serving the mezethes were off. Add on top of this that the restaurant refused to honour a Livingsocial voucher as advertised and it was a bit of a shame as it took the shine off what was a very friendly service. The fantastic starters won't be enough to get us back through the door I'm afraid.

After such a sumptuous feast, I regret to say there was no room for Baklava or Loukoumades...
