I love this place! It’s my weekend routine to pop over for brunch or just coffee and cakes😍
The carrot cake is a staple for sure perfectly moist and not too sweet!
I recently noticed the Turkish eggs and they were awesome as well! The service is perfect and the girls are really helpful about menu options and table allocations!

Excellent spot for an early breakfast. Staff were lovely and can fully recommend the Turkish eggs. Stylish vibe with nice music but the addition of radio playing in the open plan kitchen is not ideal for a relaxing Sunday morning ambience.

We had a family gathering in this wonderful place with delicious food and a five stars service. Our little dog was warmly welcome and Lydia was an unbelievable hostess, helping us to find the right way for our electric scooter. Reduced mobility guests have here a place to come. All the staff was really patient and friendly and the food was really delicious! We only took an ambiente star because it was a bit to loud - but no wonder, it was quite crowded - I guess we were not the only guests finding the food great 😉.
Thank you Lydia for the wonderful food, experience, kindness and sympathy! Greetings from Portugal, Susana

Had a lovely brunch, service was really great, very friendly. Some lovely veggie & halal options as well. We had the Turkish eggs and it was a lovely twist with the lamb sausage. Coffee was lovely, would definitely recommend a visit! Reasonably priced and they have local suppliers for their food which is fantastic
They do add an automatic service charge to the bill which I really hate when restaurants do that. The servers were great and deserve the tip but let me decide! I'm sure you could ask for it to be taken off but I wouldn't ask for that. Very cheeky, the only reason I gave it 4*

We love to come here. Specially in the morning to have the best coffee and fresh orange juice after a long walk with my dog.
Lucía always look after us and i love how much the staff love animals.
They are all very attentive and when i come here I feel like at home.
Definately one of the Best places in Didsbury.

Wonderful service by Lucia & Kate! I would go at least once a week for a treat if, it wasn’t for the high price of a meal. Can you, the managers please, lower prices of your wonderful establishment.
Once again, thank you Lucia and Kate!

Incredibly good plate with generous portions. Very surprisingly, amazing halal & vegetarian options

Had a really nice meal with my friend here today. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Couldn’t do enough for us and always happy to assist despite being very busy. In particular Luciana who waited on us today. Was more than happy to rectify an issue with the food with politeness and a swift resolve. She’s a credit to the business.

First time I had lunch at Hare and Kin and I can say it was the best food amd service in Didsbury:
The roasted red pepper and tomato soup and avocado on toast with poached egg, beetroot hummus and feta was right up my street!!!!
Recommended!
Lucia has completed the experience nicely with a very attentive and fast service!!!!
H&K, you've just got yourself a new regular :-)
Thank you

We have taken visiting family 3 times now for brunch and everyone enjoyed their food. The service is friendly & it's a relaxed vibe even though it was busy. I spotted a stacked tower of Classic panettone in tins at the front on a visit just before Christmas - I hinted to my husband about them as I collect panettone tins lol ! He bought me one for Christmas and we saved it until some friends came round this week but when I cut into it I thought this doesn't look like a classic panettone with candied peel etc - in fact it was a chocolatey, gooey one ( a bit sickly and nobody finished their slice) - obviously there had been a mix up at the factory. I took the remaining cake back to the café today, in the tin and explained what had happened ; the owner was lovely and gave me a replacement no problem. This time the tin contained a perfect classic panettone.. so very happy with that. Excellent customer service. Thank you.

Lovely spot for a family brunch. Simple menu but food was good quality and portions were generous. We were well looked after by Lydia and Lucia.

I was a regular at Deli, and since moving to Didsbury five years ago I’ve often taken friends and family there, safe in the knowledge that it was an establishment I could recommend.
The food is still of a great standard, but since the last time I visited (May) there has been a new menu introduced, and the prices have been hiked in the process.
I rave about the omelettes at Deli, and at £6.50 I felt that it was a little on the pricey side but they were always spot on and filling. Yesterday I browsed the new menu, only to find that the price of a ham & cheese omelette is now £7.90! Wow!
In spite of this I still ordered the omelette as I’m a creature of habit, and when it arrived I was greeted with a meal which was at least 30% smaller than usual. The omelette was always hanging off the edge of the plate in the past, but instead I was this time presented with a second, smaller plate on the large plate (why?!), which contained a much smaller meal.
I love Deli. The coffee, atmosphere and location are great, but I can’t justify spending so much money for such a measly portion of food. I’m disappointed, and certainly can’t guarantee that it will remain my first choice for breakfast/lunch in Didsbury.

The staff were friendly, food was average . My child had scrambled eggs and tiny pot of beans , they wanted £4.95, which is outrageous . I expressed my dismay and told the owner I am prepared to pay £3, which was agreed by the owner. I think they should have a children's menu so both party know where they stand to avoid issues over pricing . Tainted my experience .

Went for brunch and enjoyed a decent breakfast, average and my friend had the chicken stew that they serve but I dont think it's on the menu? He thoroughly enjoyed. He paid so didn't mind the cost but I thought a simple breakfast for £8.50 exc tea extra was quite expensive for what it was. Having said that I enjoyed the experience, couldn't fault the staff and it was very busy. I'd go again so I advise you to try and enjoy

I've been twice now, when I've been visiting Manchester. It's a great place for breakfast. Friendly attentive staff.

Been coming here for about 10 years now. Truly independent. Quality and service at top of the list as owner understands the benefit of repeat custom.

Visited The Deli today with high expectations and left very disappointed! I ordered a sausage and egg sandwich, advertised in the menu at £4.95... Sausages were barely cooked, soft and pink inside, my daughter ordered a juice which arrived in a tiny paper cup and a cookie which was stale and discoloured and tasted as though it had been left out for days, I asked the waitress to take it back as it was disgusting & she apologised, when I arrived at the till to pay, the waitress advised the woman at the till we was the customers returning the food, She still charged for the stale cookie despite the fact it hadn't been touched, overcharged at £5.95 for the sandwich and charged full price the tiny cup of juice which was half the size of a regular glass! Awful service, awful food & rude and ignorant staff! I wouldn't return to The Deli if I was paid to! Absolute disgrace!

Good place to eat

We ate at an outside table for lunch. Good sized portions and tasty food served by friendly staff. Goats cheese on toast was delicious and filling.

This was my first visit to the Didsbury Deli. Impressive coffee ( not always a given); hot and strong. Toasted panettone and full breakfasts ( one vegetarian) were equally tasty. Service was speedy but not so quick they were trying to get you out of the door. All in all ,a great experience.

Great, if small, family run Italian cafe. Unlike all the corporates, there's a genuinely personal feel, and a warm welcome for young and old alike. Illy coffee, made well.
