A great traditional meal at this quintessentially British pub. I had the steak and ale pie — super yummy. The beer was also wonderful!

Really nice food, friendly staff, and nice atmosphere! We really enjoy our meals outside.

Called in for Sunday lunch. The slow-roast rib of beef was divine, the caramelised meat just melted off the bone. As near to perfect as makes no difference. Plenty of it too.

My wife and I used to live in Didsbury, and The Didsbury has always been our favourite pub. Visited it this afternoon, and boy, was it a treat. A pint of Greene IPA, and a delicious homemade steak and ale pie - what else would a true Brit want? Our server Steven was very helpful and polite.
Top pub!

Great Sunday Lunch - especially the slow-cooked rib of beef, which was full of flavour. Lovely service too from Laura, who was very attentive without being too fussing. Good value too all things considered.

Great service and good food. Our Sunday roasts weren't hot enough which was a shame, especially since they are no longer such good value following recent price increases.
Despite these reservations this was still an easy 5 stars from me and recommended.
Keep up the great work, thank you.

Our favourite Pub, each time we visit we try something different, we haven't been disappointed so far.
Make sure you save room for dessert.

Beautifully rustic decor, very pleasing to the eye. Good customer service, very personable. The food was excellent and could tell that everything was freshly cooked.
Will certainly visit again.

I really liked the Didsbury. The food was amazing, I had the biggest steak pie I've ever seen in my life! The staff were friendly and pleasant and went out of their way to help us. And it had a great atmosphere as well - everything you want in an eating establishment. I'd definitely go again!

Absolutely loved my experience at The Didsbury! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff were incredibly friendly, making sure we were well taken care of throughout our visit. The food was exceptional—especially the fish and chips, which were perfectly crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside. A wide variety of craft beers and classic pub drinks rounded out a fantastic evening. Whether you're looking for a cozy spot for a date night or a lively venue to catch up with friends, The Didsbury delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend!

Really good food, but could do with some more vegan friendly options. Ran out of dairy free milk while we were there too.
But very delicious nonetheless. Plus some lovely little parks for walks after lunch.

Beautiful pub with a wonderful beer garden and great parking! We had the Sunday roasts and they were delicious, definitely recommend the vegan / vegetarian sunday roast too, ask for cranberry sauce with it! The bacon and cheese burger was also amazing!

Has got a decent variety of drinks, but the food portions could be larger for the price. The large outdoor seating is a plus on a sunny day.

Lovely, relaxed pub with fantastic staff- very friendly and professional. Lily Rose was our server and she was attentive and charming. Great pub food too - went in the evening and had wild boar burgers and sticky toffee pudding but will definitely try the Sunday roast next time.

Our 2nd visit, after a 6 year break. Special occasion, meeting our son's future in-laws. Table was rather pushed into a corner. I took the worst seat. Service good, as was the food. Enjoyable lunch.

The food was absolutely beautiful, the portion size was great!
The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed lovely place for Sunday dinner!
Becky looked after us and we couldn’t compliment her enough

Food was much better value for money last time we went a few months ago .... £12 burger was not worth £12 came with about 9 chips. The kids meal 'chicken lolly pops' which was supposed to be chicken pieces with cheese in a tomato and herb sauce came as a chicken breast covered in cheese no tomato and herb sauce in sight came with more chips than the £12 burger! Veggie burger was bland and dry, ordered the whitebait starter as last time it was delicious and huge served in a bucket, this time served in a TEACUP! .... won't be back anytime soon such a shame ....

The Didsbury hosted our engagement party in their upstairs function room last weekend. The room is lovely, built on three levels, newly decorated and accommodated our large group of 70+ guests with ease.
We arrived early and the room was already set up, looking great. I was also allowed to hand bunting and put balloons up etc with added to the appeal. All of the staff were very attentive from the beginning right through to the end. We had an afternoon tea style event and the cake were amazing. All the guests commented on what a lovely venue and the great bubbly atmosphere.
We were over the moon and our engagement party couldn't have been better!
Thank you to all the staff.
Dominic Paul even did a few numbers (a regular live musician at the Didsbury) which went down brilliantly.
I'd highly recommend this venue

I visited here with my family on Sunday and wow ! Very friendly staff, quickly served although I'd happily have waited as the food is second to none! Emily our waitress was very attentive, friendly and could't do enough to help! Beautiful place, would highly recommend x

Food ok, But left use waiting for food starter came with the main meal & to top it off had to cancel dessert after 20 minutes. We won't be going back soon .

We ate there on Sunday and I must say for what looked like a lovely place and comprehensive menu the food was awful! It was a £50 bill and this is what I got;
The egg had a hair in it and the 'Gourmet Burger' was over cooked near burnt and dry! Extremely disappointed.

superb pub, great choice of ales and was served by the amazing Harley at the bar who was warm welcoming. great place for a drink and sit in the garden.

It is a lovely pub and we found the staff friendly and pleasant. The food though could be better though. My seasonal buttered veg were hard and there was no butter on them and my daughter had pulled pork burrito but there was hardly any pork in it. The people at the two tables next to us who had food also complained about their food too. It was disappointing because it could have been so much better with more effort from the kitchen

I was there on bank holiday Monday 27th May with family. Service was good from the staff but the food was quite slow coming to the table. It was not that busy. The lentil soup I had was only warm. Food overall was not to bad, but would have expected better being a chef and brewer pub. Other pubs of the same chain have been very good I have been in.
Chris Taylor
Had to paid £2.00 for car park when had no cash .then they had changed the menu and I did not like it. Bad service I was the only person who was at the bar and and still waited about 8 minutes before I got my drinks.so had my drinks and went else where

Lovely Bank Holiday meal in the sun seemed a great idea after a lovely stroll around adjacent botanical gardens! Ordered 2 chicken burgers which took 40 minutes before I had to chase them up! Food tasted nice but spoilt by the wait..service wasn't the best to be honest but good atsmophere there.
Christine Mckenzie
Poor service, food cold, and it was the worst that we have had in a chef and brewer, plus pay for car park, although we left in disgust and forgot to get a refund
Lee Baylis
Nice place, great food and service. Would recommend.

I sent an email to 6171greeneking on 3.7.18 I've posted here as I haven't had a reply. Is the email address still live? Nothing bounced back?
On the 1st July myself and 10 family members ate at the pub for my birthday lunch.
I'm afraid to say the whole experience ruined a rare family gathering and my birthday lunch.
The tables were dirty, uncleared and staff appeared stressed and overworked.
When food eventually arrived it was poor, often not as described or incomplete. Several meals were returned, as were two puddings.
At the time my partner did complain, and we were offered free drinks, however most declined as by that point we had all had enough and were keen to leave.
I've eaten at the pub many times over the years and this was by far the worse experience I have had here. A mobile number was provided to follow-up the complaint, but I would prefer a written response to this complaint.
I look forward to your response,
Mr. S. Conway
