Highly recommended this place for great cocktails and whisky with seating area outside. Our groups winner was Espresso Martini

31/08/23: another great night!
29/09/22: loved it here with the BrewYork Takeover. Been to this bar before but not for a long time. I'd really love to know its history. An interesting downstairs photo!

Great place in a superb location. Quite small for what it is. But excellent choice and some newer additions. It has a chiller filled with cans of beer on sale which is fun. Only downside is that the toilets in the basement need a huge overhaul.

Had a few drinks with my friends here before clubbing. It is a pretty nice place. Prices for drinks normal bar price, but the selections offered here is quite amazing

Best bar on Stevenson square to have a pint in the sun.
As dear as any bar in NQ now but at least you get to try different lagers or drinks here.
Plenty of outdoor seating to catch those rays and the staff are always friendly which is impressive as they probably have to deal with some very sunstroked drunkards

Came here for a break up chat with a friend, and the place was heaving on a Wednesday night. It’s crazy what warm-ish weather can do for Stevenson Square on a summer evening!
No pictures taken unfortunately!

Great bar with good selection. Bizarrely stopped serving drinks outside 10/11ish so would be great if they let drinks go outside for longer in the summer.

Yes go there. My feelings there.....dirtiness and happiness.....it s not dirty.....just the feeling u are home. Nothing sparkling perfect or posh or fake luxury......it s Manchester.....u ll be happy satisfied settled comfy and excited and relaxed as well. U can sit and eat and drink or to all of this and watch and explore the space and place. Downstairs or upstairs no chance to be bored.....furniture on the walls or fantastic menu on the table.....in the dirtiness and happiness of Manchester.....after meal go out and just walk and watch the walls.....u ll love the Man

I didn't realise Manchester closed so early on a Monday until we arrived here.
I enjoyed this joint, the decor was quirky, the clientele bonkers (and loud) and it was just fun!

Cute little rustic bar with some cool collection of drinks. Outdoor seating area is cool and always busy.

Had a lovely afternoon drink in here. Our daughters wanted a mocktails and they didn't have any on the menu but the girl behind the bar made two lovely mocktails. Really went out their way to make us feel appreciated and our girls loved it. Will definitely go back here

One of the best bars in NQ, and it's all due to the staff. All of them are really friendly and great to have a chat to.

Upstairs: Draught, cask, tapas, & vinyl tunes in a relaxed caffe/bar atmosphere. Happy-hour pricing. Friendly & knowledgeable bar staff. Downstairs: Small Bottle-shop full of craft beer, reservable golden-gilded bank vault room for 6-8 of your best mates. As seen in the pics.

Nice little hang out, nice staff, good drinks + prices. But the men's toilets are absolutely rank.

Flok is an excellent little pub with nice booths and sitting both inside and out, albeit the former is quite limited!
Has decent prices for the heart of NQ and offers a good variety of beverages. It's a good stop to hang out with some friends and have a conversation before departing for the main event of the night.

Visited on maybe the second day that it was open, looking for new places to lunch around Piccadilly station. Ordered the salt and pepper chicken on the recommendation of the guy behind the till. Had to wait quite a while which I sort of expected given that it had just opened.
The food itself was just not very good. The portion sizing was ok with a fair amount of fries which tasted pretty good, but there was so little chicken and the pieces had been cut so small that after having been deep fried, they were incredibly dry.
Maybe I'll have to pop down again once its been open a while to allow them to get over the teething issues but I'm in no rush to go back. Shame really as I was looking forward to it.

Been a couple times and had the evolution burger and ban mi. Both were amazing and service very fast and friendly. Will definitely be back. Cans of coke etc though around double the price of Sainsbury’s pretty much next door
