Me, my wife and daughter came here today and we had an AMAZING meal.
My wife ordered the beef Stottie and I the mixed grill.
The mixed grill was on a par with one from the kings grill in chester which cost over £35!!! A truly exquisite meal.
My wife's meal was also very nice and my daughter even had a few bites ;-)
The service was fantastic, the staff very friendly and the perfect balance between professional and fun.
The desert was also superb, however there should have been more ;-)
Thanks guys we had a great time and we will be back for certain

Been here today for the 1st time. 4 of us had 3 course meal. Great food , pleasant friendly staff, never rushed although it was very busy. Will definitely be back and will highly recommend
Met with friends for lunch, staff were great on arrival and superb during service, real credit to the establishment. Food was first rate, everyone enjoyed their meal and the price was fantastic value for money, would definitely recommend and definitely go back.
Quiet meal during the week, after booking a table online. Food was tasty, (but liver was tastier the first time we went). Desserts were delicious too. Service was quick, both fed and watered within an hour. Atmosphere was quiet, but at least we could hear each other talking. Will be back again.
Nice stony building with open fire, fine restaurant and ale house. Nice location just a few steps from the metro station. Large outdoor garden with wooden benches is kids friendly. They have excellent menu selection including variety of steaks and some seafood as well. My son's fish and chips were truly extralarge :-) Real craft ales samples on tap!
Wonderful place as usual ! It has a lot of choice of great food and drinks and the service is excellent !!
Never feels cramped and is relaxing and comfortable..really well done, you have it just right and it was doing very good trade too !!
Lovely pub for food and drinks! Visited on a Friday afternoon for early tea, easy to get a table walk in (although the staff were starting to put the reserve signs out ready for evening so best to book ahead). Beef feather blade was lovely and my wife enjoyed the salmon fish cakes. We will be back again for sure 👍
It's nice cosy place and friendly staff, pricey steaks but what isn't these days, but enjoyed it and will go back, Sunday dinner looks good but better book a table as Sunday was really busy.

Great and friendly service with nice choice of beers. The black pudding appetizer was awesome and the sausage and mash was excellent.
Food was absolutely gorgeous, fresh delicious ingredients. Amazing to have so many vegan opinions!
Been many times, this Sunday was excellent, dinner came straight away, even though it was very busy. lovely plateful of food. Good value for money. The wife even ate it all.
