We had a great meal here at the weekend! For a big party the waiter was really attentive and helpful! Would recommend this to parities big or small �

Lovely location just off the Quayside in Newcastle, Pizza Express offers the same menu as all the others in the chain, with a frequently changing menu with special. Currently they offer a lovely range of thin base pizzas.
The prices are expensive but they are worth it as they are cooked to perfection and the colours and flavours are sublime.
Child friendly pizza restaurant convenient to the Quayside in Newcastle city centre. Pizza Express is part of a chain and has a reputation among people I know as being a very middle class place to go! I like it here, the interior is pleasant, the staff are friendly, children enjoy themselves. You have to climb up several flights of stairs to the toilets which isn't ideal but you work off some of the calories from your meal! They do nice salads with yummy dressings (you can buy both the dressings and pizzas from selected supermarkets these days) and their pizzas are gorgeous. Lovely crisp, thin bases, freshly prepared and cooked. A nice option they do is pizzas with a selection of toppings - a quarter of each, nice and varied if you can't decide what you want, and I usually can't. Reliable and tasty, though not the cheapest in this area.
Nice food, great atmosphere, located in a good area near the quayside .Great start to a long night out. Friendly service good quality food.
Delicious food, piping hot brought straight out to us with nearly no waiting time, very fresh tasting. I had the garlic bread for starter and my partner had the dough balls. Both were lovely. For mains we had canneloni and pizza (the one that starts with a v and I have no idea how to pronounce or spell). Highly recommend. All very fresh ingredients and extremely attentive staff.
Bad points:
The decor and lighting.
The decor just seems unfinished and the lighting began to give me a headache. Which is a shame because if it wasn't for that it would have been 5*.

Only one poor girl on the floor and one in the kitchen. Felt very sorry for them as they never stopped. Food was good and the waitress was constantly professional and couldn't fault her. She clearly needed an extra person to help out too.
Good quality and great value, especially with a voucher. There's nothing in particular which makes this branch stand out and the only negative is the location of the toilets. They are at the top of the building up two steep flights of stairs.
Decent consistent pizza, as you’d expect from pizza express. Nice atmosphere. Good value. A number of staff on their phones and the lights kept blinking over the table which was a bit distracting
Great service. They inadvertantly cross contaminated a dish I ordered and immediately replaced it, discounting it too. Bathroom are on the top floor however, a bit of a hike!
Food was great, very quiet so service was slow while they caught up with cleaning jobs and restocking! Restaurant very down at heal, half painted (badly). Decor let's down an otherwise nice meal out!
Delicious pizzas in a beautiful setting. Prices are OK, if a little steep. The Leggera pizzas are a good choice if you're not wanting to fill yourself up too much!
We had a lovely lunch hear I find they have a very good standard of food and wine,service excellent, however do think the building was looking a bit tired and as if it was in the middle of being upgraded by none professional painters my husband did say maybe when staff not busy they were having a go!!!
Great service and amazing food. I've never had a better Caesar salad than the ones here.
