A really excellent restaurant with a wide range of dishes especially catering for vegan/veggie but not to the exclusion of meat and fish offerings. Great range of drinks, well selected draft beers, wine and spirits. We took our dog who was made very welcome and enjoyed a lot of attention from the staff/owner. We enjoyed chicken thigh with mustard, slow cooked lamb, goat cheese and beetroot salad, followed by Pain au Chocolat bread and butter pudding. Highly recommended.

I had lunch here today with a friend for the first time since COVID lockdowns in 2020 and was so happy, the atmosphere is still as lovely and charming as I remember, the waitress was really friendly and the food was great.
I had poached eggs on avocado toast with rocket, the poached eggs were perfect. We also had a side order of twice cooked fries which were some of the nicest fries I've ever had.
One of the nicest lunches and a very delightful afternoon.

We ate lunch and dinner here on the same day which I don't think I've ever done anywhere.The roasted parsnip soup was sublime.
Friendly atmosphere and good service. They serve dinner late on Saturday, last orders 9.30ish. Food is good value but dishes are not huge if you want a large dinner.

Yesterday, with having a pooch with us, we were looking for somewhere pet friendly, and we couldn't have found a better place. The staff were super friendly, and the food was outstanding and reasonably priced. If it's a sterile mainstream cafe you're after, then don't come here or do come here to experience an atmospheric quirky artisan cafe. If i didn't live 350 miles away, i would definitely make this my go-to cafe.
