Always been a very welcoming friendly pub where you can watch sports and live music. The staff have always been polite and friendly whenever we have visited and the food has always been amazing. This pub will always hold a special place for me as this is where my fiancee proposed to me.

Always a lovely welcome for us and our dog. A great atmosphere. The ales and wine are spot on and thank you Clare for superb service and the awesome Twirl cheesecake!

Group of 6, very well looked after by Clare. She went over and above the call of duty, when I told her we were celebrating one elderly gentleman's birthday, by bringing an extra birthday decorated dessert. The food was, as always, sublime.
I have been using this pub for 5 decades. Still my favourite!

We turned up with a group of 6 not having booked. It was very busy (good to see!) but the member of staff who served us (Clare) was extremely helpful and accommodating and found us a table. The food was great, with an excellent choice. A friendly, traditional pub with good atmosphere. Thank you!

It's taken us 18 months to come here, we only live 5 minutes away. This is a true country pub with lots of regular customers. The food is really good quality and good value. We had the 5 for £30 tapas deal and were very happy with out choices. Pretty much everything was homemade and big portions - very good value! I look forward to returning to try more food and get to know the staff a little bit more.

One of the best places to eat that I've been in a long time. The food was fantastic with a wide choice of specials, there was a nice range of beers on tap, good music and a very traditional pub feel about it. Would definitely recommended.
