great atmosphere and location. Excellent, lovely, very efficient and multi tasking staff. A wide selection of beers - craft and cask. Landlord & landlady great help you with anything had my wife’s 50th birthday party and had a lovely time. I travel 25 miles from Holt to come here for a drink as my local dog friendly pub

The garden house is a brilliant pub, always lively, brilliantly priced and they have great music. They also have a vast range of ales and ciders; it always looks as though a beer/cider festival is on! The staff are so friendly and helpful. I especially recommend the Monday night quiz, they even provide you with free dinner. I would highly recommend to all - a fantastic community pub.

I really can't figure this place out, it's such a mixed bag of things. Landlord always welcomes you in at the door, which is actually amazing, and then there are a stack of local ales and ciders, like and absolute STACK available all year around. The prices are good and the staff are all wildly fun, the guy flipping burgers in the back is a massive fan of elvis and k kws that sometimes you just need a cheeseburger with onions to see you through. Normally I'd say it's cheap and cheerful, but it's probably fairer to say it's reasonable and completely barmy, but in a good way. Nay. A great way. And that beer garden is one of the best in the city!

A lovely old pub with a great ale selection, most of which is presented as guest beer festival style, and an excellent outdoor area. The bar areas are comfortable and well appointed with a nice clientèle. However, the only thing that did ruin it for us (and this was mid afternoon so I don't know what evenings are like) was the loud mtv style music peppered with incessant adverts. Absolutely dreadful! We went to sit outside but obviously that isn't a long term solution in what is otherwise a very respectable local.
