Lucky House

Pleased to say this place has upped its game again. Was excellent for many years but 2 years ago the standard went downhill and was awful. However decide to give it another go and have ordered 3 times inthe last 2 months and the standard is much improved 👍Delivery service is excellent- food arrived hot, and promptly.

Lots of choice and ended up ordering the Thai mains with a few Chinese starters. The food was fine except it arrived an hour early (not usual for a takeaway) so we had to reheat it when we were ready. Luckily it was mainly noodles but it meant my favourite prawn toast were too tough 😔 hence only 4 stars.

We had our first meal from Lucky House just a day ago and were amazed at both the quality and size of what we got. Initially we were tempted to place an order online but the wait time was around 60 minutes (I know, should have more patience) so instead we collected the order. I know when it comes to ordering a set meal portions are usually generous, but oh my god! We had a meal for two and what we were given completely filled two huge plates. The quality of the food was fantastic, in particular the sweet and sour chicken is to die for. Afterwards I was concerned about getting that lovely "salt mouth hangover" in the morning that can often follow such an indulgence. To my amazement, that didn't come which is testament to the lower amount of salt they use in comparison with other Chinese takeaways in the area. Sadly this will be the first order of many more to come. Sorry bank account.
