We had a great dinner at the Pilot House and I would return again for sure. We weren't able to make a reservation online ahead of time, but were in the area so decided to see if we could walk in and thankfully we were! Sat us right away at a table inside (said it would have been a 10 to 15 minute wait for an outside table) which we preferred as we had been outside all day and needed a little AC. Server was super friendly and helpful. Food was very good - definitely recommend the Lobster Corn Chowder. It was DELICIOUS!! I had the seafood pot pie which had SO much seafood in it. My wife enjoyed a nice salad with grilled shrimp. There were a bunch of menu items we wish we could have tried, so I guess we'll just have to return on our next trip.

Overall, a good time. Hit or miss with dishes. Oysters and tuna tacos were ok. Portuguese cod and clam chowder were phenomenal. Sunset views are really pretty. There are quite a few bugs when sitting out. John was a great waiter.

Best Chowder I’ve had In a long time.
My favorite was always legal seafood, then fisherman’s view stole the win….. now this place is my #1
Creamy, chunks of meat and seasoned perfectly
Thank you! 😋
Ps- my spicy margarita was delicious too

📌 The perfect place to meet friends whether you sit inside at the bar or outside overlooking Sandwich marina.
The Portuguese Stuffed Cod (Sherry scallop & chourico stuffing, lobster & corn newburg sauce, asparagus) was perfection. 💫
My friend had her Pilot House favorite - fish tacos. 🌮 which must be plentiful because she always only eats two and brings the third one home.
Drinks here are always great, I tried the new “Sandy Neck Sipper” … which was too good to just sip! A jalapeño infused tequila, real watermelon juice and more … with a chili pepper rim. (Pictured) ! It had a nice bit of heat to it , but it was also refreshing.
We are locals, and we always tend to sit at the bar, whether it’s the off-season or a busy summer. Although the outdoor bar and seating is great, overlooking the Marina, the indoor bar has a nice coastal atmosphere and positive and relaxing vibe. The handsome young bartenders obviously lend a hand to that awesome vibe … and they make very good drinks, are polite and attentive.
Definitely a place to try if you’re vacationing, looking for good food with a great atmosphere!

Visited Pilot House Restaurant and enjoyed the visit! They offer great food (I recommend the seafood pot pie and the crab cake appetizer). The service was very good, atmosphere is casual but a little on the loud side, so not intimate quiet, but that's okay! They have live music and offer plenty of free parking. Aside from food, the bar staff offer any libation you may desire. Lastly, there is a nice view of the Cape Cod Canal.
Pilot House is great if you're in the area and want a great meal. Prices are a touch above average, but then again the quality merits this...
Check it out, you'll enjoy it!

Had dinner here and the lobster bisque soup was good, the appetizer blackened scallop was very tasty but the 2 pound lobster did not taste so good. Also the French fries that come with it were like hey. Very bad. Service of Shana was very good.

My partner and I were on vacation and had an opportunity for a date night. We split two apps, a soup, and a main. All of which was delicious and plenty of food.
We had to wait for a table but didn’t have to wait for a libation. We started with oyster shots at the raw bar, a jalapeño-infused tequila and a Bloody Mary shot. We also grabbed a drink from the outdoor Gazebo bar and listened to a live-looper musician.
We got to the table under a tent and it was a really pleasant atmosphere that reminded me of going to a wedding.
Scallops were still rare (which is how they should be). I would go back and just get two orders of these and drinks. They were outstanding.
Oysters were small but flavorful, and the various combinations kept it fun.
Chowder is a contentious thing in New England, but I’d rate this one pretty high. On a 1-10, probably a solid 8. (That is high praise).
The volume their kitchen has to keep up with is impressive, kudos to the cooks and chef(s) in the kitchen.
The Rockefeller was a great way to end the meal.
