We stumbled across the Horns Inn last year dropping off parents at Soton docks, so impressed we followed out noses and found it again for the 'farewell lunch' this year. Great food - the fisherman's platter is superb, good atmosphere, piped music is easy on the ear, bar staff are friendly and efficient Highly recommended!!

Lovely pub, staff very friendly and dog friendly. Stopped here on way home, it was very busy. We ordered food which we thought would be awhile, but the service was quick and very good. Would be going here again. Well done if i could this a 10 i would.

Not been here for almost a year and always the atmosphere was good. Nice cosy pub. Had food this time and was pleasantly surprised how nice it was, finely! Well done to the person who has taken it over to turn it into a quality pub again. This place use to be my local years ago until I moved away from Rownhams. Now I know the food quality has improved, I'll be back again soon as parents still live in the area.

All round a very pleasant environment with a good outside area. Lots of choice. I didn't notice anything specifically for children. Reasonable prices and good quality food and a good choice of wines and other alcohol available. Friendly and helpful service. Nice decor, which makes for a good place for a quick drink or a meal. It is on a busy road junction, but if you avoid rush hour or are patient, you can get into the car park.

What has happened to the Horns Inn. They used to serve a wonderful Sunday roast here with the most delicious gravy ever. Suddenly the gravy is decidedly average and parsnips are to hard to eat. And cauliflower cheese and broccoli every Sunday. A bit more variety would help. The meat is still delicious but they always have gammon, no pork. It's on a downward spiral I feel.

Our U8's football team stayed in the nearby premier inn. The restaurant there was full so we went to the Horns Inn. The landlord was great! He made space for our large group and couldnt do enough. He was great with the excited kids. Really relaxed evening.

Lovely pub /restaurant, with a large outdoor seating area. If your staying at the Premier Inn at Nursling (next door) you'll get 10% off your food bill. I was particular impressed with their menu but especially the glutton free and vegan menu. The latter l tried and l was not disappointed. I would have given the full 5 stars were it not for the slow service on the Saturday evening (one of the busiest nights) due to insufficient staff.

Needed a stop after leaving Romsey we only had drinks in the wonderful beer garden. The pie menu is extensive so we shall return
