Stopped here on the way back from the coast. Food was really nice and there was a good selection of difference dishes. The staff was friendly and helpful. Really nice atmosphere. Plenty of parking. Would recommend.
Second visit to the Four Horseshoes and just as good as the first. Food was delicious (though they were missing a few desired items from the menu) with the perfect balance of flavours. Like others have said the chicken supreme is worth a try! Portions do look small at first but don't be fooled; they're the perfect size!
Service was a little bit blunt and short but didn't detract from the overall experience.
Absolutely beautiful dinner! It’s not a very convenient location for us but we visited on a recent trip to Totton. Parking was out the front with plenty of space. Looks like they have a nice outdoor area too. Restaurant is located towards the back of the building in a pretty conservatory area. Staff were great, didn’t feel rushed and food was lovely. Highly recommend trying their specials. I require Gluten Free and their menu is clearly marked. Lots of options.
Came here Alone whilst away for work and what a lovely pub! the food was lovely and not too bad for price considering the portion size and how nice it was. The feel of the place was also very nice with an open fire and nice bar. Would definitely recommend. The staff were also very nice will definitely be visiting again if I am ever in the area!
Nice to see a vegetarian roast option that wasn’t a nut roast for a change! The only let down was the live “music”. My family and I got there at 5 on a Sunday and it wasn’t very busy but the loud singing made it really impossible to have conversation and even uncomfortable for my dad who has hearing difficulties, ultimately leading to an unpleasant dining experience. Would come back if there were no live music.
We visited with friends & our mini dachshund, early evening. It was surprisingly busy but were seated quickly, next to a lovely couple and their cute dog. The pups quickly made friends, which was brilliant. The menu had so many lovely dishes it was hard to choose!
We shared some of the nibbles to start - olives, bread, squid, whitebait & scampi - all delicious! Mains were sea bass, duck & steaks, all beautifully presented & tasty. Unfortunately, no room for desserts although they sounded very tempting. Will definitely be back, maybe swap starters for desserts next time.
Wonderful staff made us feel very welcome, they were lovely. Smashing atmosphere. And that's before I even mention the food, which was a gastronomic delight. Literally the best risotto I've ever had!
It was our first visit here to celebrate my birthday- it was splendid! From starters to main and desert! Food was cooked to the perfection. Service was very very good! Highly recommend! Will definitely be coming back!
