We've just started to use the Bengal Brasserie after our local Alam Spice in Fawley food has gone downhill.
Fourth visit and the food has been superb! The best curry we've eaten in a very, very long time. Garlic chilli chicken, lamb vindaloo, hot, spicy full of flavour and depth. Not full of sugar and salt like Alam Spice. Spices cooked out well too. Lamb Pathia is delicious. Lamb very tender and chicken was also cooked perfectly, moist and delicious and not like a piece of rubber. I cannot praise them enough. Garlic rice cooked nicely. The only issue was the onion Bahjii's that were crispy on there outside but soggy in the middle. Still give them 5/5 though because everything else was spot-on.👍👍😏😏😏

Restaurant itself is looking a bit tired but that doesn't take away how good the food was and friendly the staff were. Popped in off the cuff and was not disappointed. Good tasty flavorsome food at a reasonable price.

Good for the area, portions and meat chunks seem to have reduced in size over the last 20 years, but no different to any other. No more meat Tali but lamb Tali is similar

Needed late night post-gig curry and google searched. Bengal Brasserie in the heart of late night Southampton food district. Got there midnight and warmly welcomed. Curry was top notch, well priced and delicious. My Chicken saag madras was one of the best - it’s what I order everywhere so I can compare! Lovely breads and the tarka dhall a knock out.
Not one next day rumbles either.

I recommend. I remove a star because they are a bit cheap of the quantities. If you order King prawns, they will be cut in half so you effectively pay for more than what you get
