Exceptional food but just let down in other areas. On a positive note, the food is unique full of flavour. It’s modern, fresh and seasonal. Hard to fault and if the review was for food alone this with be a 6 star review. Food prices fair for what is clearly a lot of effort to create. Dietary requirement’s excellently catered for. Regarding service, in my view having one front of house person is a mistake. I just felt it not relaxing to see someone so busy while I am meant to have a relaxing meal out. We were not ignored, and service was attentive but that extra pair of hands would give customers a better experience. You try to explain elements in each dish while new customers enter the restaurant and other customers want drinks and other customers wait for their starters to be cleared… etc etc Atmosphere was let down, the music was so sleepy my dinner companions nearly fell asleep waiting for the starters. The table was so sticky too… I mean really sticky! don’t think it was dirty, perhaps just needs a sanding down. Soap dispensers in toilets empty too. Drinks menu a bit odd and overpriced . £6 for a coke! I wish Kesarum nothing but success. Glad I visited but for me not a 5 star overall.

Me and my husband wanted to visit this restaurant for a while and I have to say we weren't disappointed. The food looked and tasted amazing. We were pleasantly surprised about the different textures and were given a lot of information from the staff what we needed to combine together for the best flavour profile and so have better experience eating the food. It's a shame they didn't offer mocktails as part of their menu. Something for Kesarum to consider in the future, but this wouldn't stop us coming back again. Update: they offer mocktail now as well, and they are fantastic.

Lovely food and very different and unique. We really enjoyed it. To help the proprietor, we would only say to seat us closer to the window to help boost the ambience for passerbys. The jackfruit is incredible and I would definitely recommend any meat-eater to try this restaurant. A teeny little more time in between our courses and more alone time to decide a dessert would finish it off well. The mocktails are amazing! We went away thinking we could suggest to Kesarum that they make more on these as a bar (as well as restaurant) as it was one of the best mocktails I have ever tasted.

Wow. Just wow. The service the food and the drinks all 10/10 Service: We were welcomed with the utmost respect and hospitality. Greeted and seated in no time whatsoever. We were given a suitable time to choose drinks with no feeling of being rushed at all. Most high end restraunts want you to be in and out so the next customer can get in and be seated. As the food and drinks were brought over, any questions we had were answered correctly and with fun/witty comments to go aside with it. The overall experience was incredible. Drinks: Now as a high end bartender/cocktail makerim always quite critical about other establishments drinks. This menu however has no fault whatsoever. The drinks accompanying the food, and the combination of both was perfect. I say this and will say again this was mine and my partners best meal we've ever had. Food: Now honestly, I don't know what way I can describe this because there is no word for how good it was. All I can say is that even a non veggie ( like my partner ) would not even bat an eyelid to how amazing the food was. Regardless who you are. I know for a FACT that there is something for everyone. I wish I took more pictures but the food got all the attention, not the phone. I implor you to go. The experience is sublime. Thank you to everyone there. 20/10

We had such a great evening at Késarum! The food was truly unique, with delicious flavour combinations I've never tried before. Service was delivered with warmth and insights into each dish. The cocktails were great and the smoky old fashioned is highly recommended! We'll definitely be coming back to check out the new menu in the summer.

This could be the next Michelin winner in my opinion! 🌟 The food itself is a celebration of all the senses - beautifully presented and explained before you're taken on a journey of flavours. Loved the paneer dish I had - made with homemade vegan paneer, especially all the sauces that came with it, as well as the rice and raita. The dessert was also very fun to eat with a bit of everything to satisfy the palate. Finally, the interior of the restaurant is gorgeous and the service is excellent. Thank you for the lovely meal! Would recommend to anyone visiting Southampton.

Intimate small setting, on main High Street; a hidden gem. Took a while for food to arrive because we where a large party and staff of 3, but boy was it worth the wait!! The food fabulously plated. A feast for the eyes and the taste more than met the expectation and then some. The owner explained the taste notes and history of the dishes adding to the dining experience and it was a glorious experience!! Definitely will be returning. When dining out a luxury these days this restaurant was worth it’s weight in gold.
