From america and came to the UK to visit a friend. Found this awesome place by chance. Great service and people there were very polite! Great food, fish and chips are a must!

Our food wasn't greasy and you get big protons. Meat dishes were packed with meat & they were packed with flavour. Very tasty!!
Only con is that they don't deliver.
...but It's deffo worth the drive to pick up.

Well I have been having Beef Curry for over 20 years on a Friday night from Golden Gate so should know what it should be like- and it has always been consistent - but just recently - since their Mum has been absent in the evenings I have noticed the curry standard slacken off - and have been disappointed a few times a couple of times the thickness of the sauce was lacking and other times the Beef was tough - this week it was the sauce - it was far to thin .
Despite being Good Friday, it was such speedy and friendly service
Fish was perfectly fried, batter crispy and flavoursome. TOP gravy!
The chip portions are huge!

Very good chippy. Fish n chips are spot on and the chicken burger is pretty good too, its a proper piece of chicken and lovely soft bread. Prices are reasonable
Well it is a very good chip shop and has proper Chinese style chippy curry sauce. Not the abomination with raisins in it :)
I have been looking for a good chippy since my local one, Didsbury Fish bar went right down hill and I am not a big fan of Fosters. I read a few comments on Facebook which said this one was good and although it is a bit of a drive from my house, I thought I would try it out. When I arrived it was very busy which was a good sign, and when I got my food I was not disappointed. Great traditional chippy chips, very generous portions - I thought they had given me a large, but it was in fact a small. Plus, they sell scallops which I love and hardly any chippies sell them. Everything was fresh and I was in and out very quickly. It was definitely worth the 15 minute round trip in the car and I would go back again.

Just picked up a prawn satay and egg fried rice from this place and it was just incredible. Massive juicy prawns (lots of them too), not overcooked at all and lovely fresh veg. Really nice surprise to find that the food from here was of such high quality.

I've been going to this chippy for over 20 years. Great chips, pies (Holland's, not that Pukka nonsense) sausages, fish, scallops, pasties and to top it off the gravy / curry is great too. Friendly staff and a car park over the road to hold up and nibble away. I've never really eaten many of the traditional Chinese meals, so I cannot comment. As a chippy, I cannot fault it, and I think it edges Fosters into second place. It's just a pity you cannot sit in.
Best chippy I've ever been to! My usual is sweet and sour chicken and chips with honey BBQ ribs and I haven't found anywhere else that's anywhere near as good.
