Cracking chippy, with freshly made fish and chips plus all the trimmings. We had the cod goujons, which were basically small battered fish, one portion was enough for two with a large chips thrown in!

Huge portions and classic seaside taste. This might sound silly but it tasted like the sea and I think fish and chips should!
Props to the staff who were flat out and looking very hot and bothered but were still super friendly, smiling and serving everyone quickly.

Very nice fish and chips, scampi and kids portions.
Price not bad for food, but 25p for knife and fork and 80p fir a small tub of ketchup, these things should be on the tables. Hence 4 🌟 and not 5.

BEST CURRY SAUCE EVER!!! We honestly really enjoyed the experience of eating from Russell's. Glad we chose this place for our fish and chips at Whitby. Really friendly staff, all-round enjoyable experience. My boyfriend said the fish is really good. They even let you put your own salt and vinegar on.

Spot on ! ... over the years we have tried many of the chippys in Whitby.. however.. we now only use Russell's as default.. they are very proud of their shop and constantly cleaning as customers leave... there are no others to touch them in our opinion..

Forget the magpie & trenchers, Russell's serve the best fish & chips in Yorkshire. Freshest fish & finest batter bar non. Much more reasonably priced & well behaved dogs welcome

This is by far the best fish and chips shop in Whitby and doesn't cost a fortune either. We came to. Whitby for a week and ate here every day. A Guinness and chippy holiday which was amazing. Would definitely recommend to eat here. Staff were great to, extremely friendly

Best fish and chips out there. My family and i always come to Russells fish and chips at Whitby whenever we are on holiday and enjoy it every time. The staff and owners are lovely and the atmosphere in there is just wonderful. Would highly recommend if you would like the best fish and chips at Whitby!
