Great fish n chips in Whitby. Reasonably priced compared to many of the chip shops in town. Friendly service, haddock and scampi cooked to order. Nothing was greasy, good crunch on the batter and a good portion of chips.
It is cash only so come prepared, the closest cash point is in town.

Great fish and chips freshly cooked haddock and no we are not locals. Highly recommend however if you want to spend a lot more money at the magpie then off you pop.

Had fish and chips from here the other night. They were bloody lovely! We even got some scraps!!! Very nice, would definitely recommend.

We arrived in whitby jst passed 7.30pm and was looking forward to a fish and chips supper. Fearing the worst expecting Riverside to be closed, were very relieved to find it still open. The takeaway was fantastic freshly cooked very taste. Got to be among if not the best chip shop in whitby. Well done guys keep it up 👍

Best fish and chips I've ever had! Batter is light, crispy and very tasty! Chips are soft and fluffy on the inside, with a slight crunch on the outside. The fish was perfectly cooked and tasted AMAZING! Definitely come here for some 5 star fish and chips!
