It was the Middle Earths first Sunday Lunch and it didn't disappoint. I had the beef and it was so tender, plenty of veg and a delicous cauliflower cheese and the yorkshire pud was spot on and homemade (no frozen here). Deffo be back and may even have room for a pudding next time. Staff were lovely and really helpful too.

Great atmosphere, fantastic food and drink. Really friendly staff, will definitely go back again. Was the best pub on our pub crawl by far.
A nice pub… but with the name ‘Middle Earth tavern’ it needs to be so much more! With a Gollum/Sméagol hanging sign, it’s pretty disappointing inside as there’s no further LOTR references. Quite odd. Very sanitised and with a strange table service setup (even just for drinks), we left feeling perplexed. Nice, but not nerdy enough.
We walked here from the town, and just dropped in for a drink. We didn’t go inside, as it was such a gorgeous day, we sat out the front of the pub in the sunshine.
The two girls who were serving were friendly and attentive, and the beer was in excellent condition.
Just called for a quick drink sat outside.
Table service is good and quick.
My wife went to the toilets and said they were clean and the inside looks very nice.
Have to take your own water for dogs and bowl they don’t provide it
I’d seen the Middle Earth pub advertised online and I was excited to go and have a drink there. I have to admit I was disappointed to see it was just a normal pub. I was expecting something more themed - other than the sign outside and the coincidental choice of serving golden pippin beer, there is nothing to do with Middle Earth on the inside.
That said, the young waitresses were very pleasant, there were good cocktails, nice fish tank and I had several nice beers. So if you are looking for a themed pub or experience go somewhere else, but if you want a good standard pub Middle Earth pub is worth a visit.
I had a cup of tea. When putting the milk in it seemed off as was floating. I told one of the staff and she apologised and got me another one. We had drinks there another day. All the staff were friendly and efficient. Lovely pub.
Immaculately clean and welcoming pub just that little further off the tourist trail but truly worth seeking out.
The beer is well kept. Terrace on the front.

My partner and I have came here for my birthday trip away, and we loved it! First time coming in and we were met with welcoming arms; the music was great, very diverse, the staff were excellent and FULL of conversation/ cheerfulness. Can’t thank them enough for making our stay so warming!! Josie was so lovely!! Definitely a welcoming young lady and so kind! There was also a lovely lady with blonde hair too who was full of good conversation; WE LOVE THE MINI CHEDDARS YOU RECOMMENDED ❤️
Great location right on the harbour. We sat outside and it was table service only, but the waitress was very attentive and always on her feet. Good selection of drinks.
We visited a couple of times and the servers are amazing. They greet you as you arrive and come to take your order extremely quickly. Very young and very good at their jobs.
