We rang & booked on a Saturday eve for 8pm, arrived shortly before a party of 10. Service was great, relaxed and pleasant. The guy helped with my drink choice & knew how to sell, with some light humor, as I don't do wine & chose a WKD 'old school' - he offered a shot of vodka in it to spice it up. We were offered poppadoms & pickle tray once seated. We had a Korma & Tikka with a rice between us & naan each. I hadn't really clocked cost & was surprised when the bill was just under £55. £15 of that was on our drinks. Food tasted delicious. Despite the group of 10 & other couples arriving, the atmosphere was relaxed and quiet to hear/have conversation. Didn't realise it was cash only until got there, but there was a machine down the road. Will definitely visit again.

Probably the best curry I've had period. All the food was amazing, the service was great the younger chap was incredible, beer was well kept. I don't understand why there's been a few bad reviews, I think because it's windermere and it's allure to the snobbish. It is cash only but that's not a deal breaker. Highly recommended will be back.

so after reading so many negative reviews we decided that we would give it a go, we were not disappointed! the food and service was impccable, decor was dated however this did not affect the food or service that we received. we will return! thankyou guys for a lovely evening A+++

Boothroyd decided we should end the night with some Indian cuisine and a couple of pints of Cobra. This is a very traditional restaurant. Needs a little TLC. Food and service was fine. The prawn starter was really good. Very pleasant visit. Spent about £100 between 3 of us. Access up a metal staircase. Cash only.

I had a takeaway from here when I was staying in the local area over Christmas. Service was fast, price was very good, the food was very hot. Not the most flavored Chicken Madras I've ever had but overall it was good and I'd certainly visit if I was in the area again.

Wonderful overall experience.
They had some bengali curries on their menu which I had never tried before, and I was so pleased I did, it was amazing. Would absolutely return to try some if the others.

Had real reservations about going here after looking at some of the scathing reviews but was very pleasantly surprised.
The food was fantastic and the service from Raj and Jay was lovely too.
The prices were very reasonable too - Will definitely return when back in the area.

The food was definitely good all around. With a group of 6 we were able to try a lot of different meals, which were all good. The service was alright, nothing to complain about. Definitely an enjoyable dining experience. Also definitely affordable. Will recommend! (Also had some vegan options and were happy to help us)
