First time I've been into a Sam's pub without Old Brewery Bitter available, pleasant young lass said it hadn't been viable to sell the real ale and directed me to OK keg Tadcaster 4x. Had a cheese and pickle sandwich too, which was not too bad, with hot meals also available. Hope Old Brewery Bitter will not disappear from other outlets as well. Still good value beer compared to other places.

Fantastic pub, £3 for a pint of Sam Smith's Old Brewery Bitter in those surroundings has got to be worth it. Be warned though, this is a Sam Smith's pub and they don't allow any electronic gadgets at all, no texts, emails anything, you can't even score your Beers.

I've been wanting to try out this pub for the last 3 years, and finally it's open!
Beautiful interior and very well maintained. Toilets are outstanding. Bitter ( O B B)
Was on top form as you'd expect. Friendly landlord.
If you're a fan of Samuel Smith pubs and not been in this one, I'd highly recommend it.

A proper Sam Smiths pub, no cards, no phones, no swearing. The food was very nice, beer prices good. Coke VERY EXPENSIVE. Ambiance comfortable.

Traditional place with very strict rules on the use of technology. Cash only bar, no mobile phones and a landlady who enforces the rules. Despite that I quite liked the place. Clean and beautifully decorated, nice range of drinks and with comfortable seating it's a pleasant enough place for a quiet drink when you're walking past.
