We called in for a drink this week and enjoyed a couple of pints. Friendly service, nice inside and a kitchen with rotating chefs and menus. They do hold music nights judging by the posters. Seating outside as well as in. I've only docked a star because the website menu doesn't include enough detail on their Sunday lunch options (my OH doesn't eat red meat). I did email to ask but waiting on a response. Will return and recommend you visit.

Very cool atmosphere with a nice vibe. The bar has a good variety of craft beers and largers, with some tasty house wines. Small menu choice, but they make up for it in quality of the food being beautifully cooked with decent sized portions and selection of deserts. A strong 8/10.

A smashing, warm, old fashioned pub with a lovely little eating area in the rear. I haven't tried the grub yet but if the food is as good as the Guinness, it would be darn good.
A lovely room upstairs where they hold a wonderful life drawing class every Monday with the smashing teacher, Annie. I love it.

We've just moved in around the corner from this place and went here for Sunday roast between unpacking boxes.
And wow - great selection of beers, friendly staff and absolutely amazing food. I have a feeling this will become our regular haunt!

An absolutely fantastic cosy pub, with a great selection of beers. The food is outstanding. Haven't had a Sunday lunch this good in a long time. Highly recommend

Great vibes in this place. Bar staff and chefs gave a passion for the food and drinks. Had the Korean Fried Chicken which was delicious with a fresh salad that included beansprouts. Ordered a raspberry flavoured drink that's was equally refreshing. Great place

Went on the recommendation from a colleague and will go again. The fish and chips was excellent, accompanied by a nice cider and followed by a good coffee. Will be heading back to check out the jazz they host regularly, looking forward to hearing some good live music.

Came here for their Sunday roast. The food was AMAZING. Just disappointed about their service. We didn't come at a busy time, but it was almost impossible to get a server's attention, and the food took more than a half hour to arrive. Can't fault them with their food however 👌 atmosphere was also very cosy.

Food was really good, I've been a couple of times now and the menu rotates so it's worth checking who is there before you go.
Really good selection of beer and wine, improv is there and it's a lovely atmosphere

Had a private party for office Christmas party and it was excellent. Service beforehand from Sam was brilliant, catered for everything we asked for!
Staff on the day were brilliant, attentive and quick on the bar. Food was lovely and everything was great value for money.
Would 100% recommend for private functions and will definitely use again.

Great beer with friendly service. The food rotates and there are often events (comedy, music, etc). There is also a small amount of seating outside on the road.

Cosy little pub - very warm and welcoming. The food was delicious esp the starters. The menu changes every quarter i believe and this time it was pan-asia. Definitely recommend!

Had a fabulous experience at 1000 trades, really nice venue with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Very popular with customers even on a Wednesday night. The staff were very relaxed yet attentive which is everything you need in hospitality. The food was delicious and different to anything I had experienced in Birmingham before. Definitely would recommend to anyone who is a true ale or natural wine drinker. Loved it!

First time visiting this place when visiting family in Birmingham. I found out they are dog friendly too!! My boys were made to feel very welcome
Great beer & food available
Looks like they have some good events on too.

Lovely pub, great music, real ales, natural wines and knowledgeable, friendly staff.
We went on a Tuesday night, still pleasantly busy.
Canoodle cooking at the moment, excellent food and service.
Particularly enjoyed the salt and pepper squid. A "small plate" but generous portions.
Curry puffs, beef rendang and banh xeo also good.
Will definitely return before this current guest chef finishes his stint in the kitchen.

What a great little find! Amazing food, lovely staff, fantastic atmosphere! Me and my partner are trying different places for Sunday lunch, and this deffo Is a 10/10 for us, the food portion was a right size, the taste incredible, and having live jazz music completely topped it off! It sits at the top of our list for us!! Well done guys!!! 🙌🏼

Had a truelly delightful experience on Friday night at 1000 Trades. Most delicious Christmas meal - every mouthful was a taste sensation especially the turkey main course with biodynamic white wine - so many flavours and textures. Mmm! Then there was the venue and atmosphere - I felt like I was at home with great friends in one of their stylish living rooms. And then the service - John Lucy and the Sax musician - didn't catch his name - were friendly, attentive - a joyful delight to start Christmas festivities - Thank you for organising Lara R..

Great find in the Jewellery Quarter in Brum. We went in at 5pm for a drink and nibbles. Very friendly staff and a wide choice of craft ales inc a great SalopianBrewery Dangermousse IPA at 6% Abv! We had Popcorn Prawns which were crisp and delicious with a smokey BBQ sauce.
The place is a typical mix of shabby chic - a mix of 60s chairs and and tables - distressed brick walls and galvanised cable trays - but done really well. Music not too loud. Not expensive, beers sub £5 and Prawns £4... but I just wonder what it would be like at 10pm as opposed to 5pm. Heaving!! Go early and enjoy. We did!

1000 Trades is a lovely friendly place.Staff were excellent and go beyond the call of duty to fulfill any request. The food was nice but the charcuterie platter needs fresh crusty bread as well as the lovely crackers. The chutney was absolutely delicious. Am impressed by the variety of events happening and will definitely visit again.

Cool food. Very attentive staff. Good beer and decent rum selection. What else could us Brummies need!

Really nice atmosphere, friendly helpful staff. Lots of help to choose wine which is made locally and tasted really good. Food was lovely but very small portions for the price - in fact nothing substantial on the menu - more for an expensive snack than dinner. All a bit 'arty' and bohemian for my taste but well prepared and presented by cheerful pleasant chefs.

Fabulous- love this pub - dog friendly- real fire - knowledgeable staff - changing ales. This is one of the best pubs in Brum.

1000 trades is a great neighbourhood bar with a savvy take on beer and hospitality. The food is always first class and the menu often changes to reflect the diverse cosmopolitan feel of a thoroughly up and coming city. I love this bar; no wide screen TV to impede conversation and some excellent DJs with more than a bit of musical nous. Full marks.

Absolutely stunning. Enjoyed a Sunday Roast here and was blown away by the flavours. The atosphere was faultless too with a jazz pianist playing creating a peaceful and relaxed environment and to top it all off the service was fantastic too; friendly, helpful and polite. Good luck with the venture and may it go from strength to strength.

My 1st visit with the Instagram Hordes on Saturday. Enjoyed the atmosphere, the bar staff were friendly, knowledgeable and good with keeping up with 'who's next', if you know what I mean. Can't give 5 stars, didn't have time for food, but I enjoyed my visit and I'm sure to be back. Many thanks!
PS: Pay no mind to the 1 star review, I found the staff very helpful & approachable, who coped admirably with the massive influx of Instragrammers. The range of beers is not vast, but I think it's very much in keeping with what a modest sized watering hole should stock.

Had a great time eating various tasty bits and bobs off the Salt & Earth pop up menu. Never been to 1000 Trades before but it had a great atmosphere, great 80s music and it wasn't played too loud so me and my partner could talk. Was dancing in my seat! Service was excellent too. Would go again. Importantly to me its good to see local food trades and artists supported!

Lovely atmosphere here, looks cool and has Lawless on tap, which is always awesome, obviously. I have very limited beer knowledge but I will always try an IPA or similar in a cool can (if it's got no fish guts in it).

Best Sunday lunch (apart from my moms) I’ve had in a long, long time! Cute place, great staff, banging Sunday roast!

Can’t fault this place..brilliant atmosphere, lovely genuine people from all walks of life, staff are easy going and friendly, music is brilliant..wish there were more places like this in the city!

Always great beer with brilliant ever changing food options. Loved both the funky lobster and the Mexican pop up a few months ago!
Steve Redvers Hill
A great pub/dining experience with friendly, helpful staff and a good range of booze on offer. Proper DJ, as opposed to muzak going on in the background.
We've been a few times now and will be going back. ........ You should too!

My third visit in a month this place really grows on me, I popped in at 2300 on new years eve, greeted by the usual friendly welcome, this place has time for customers and will talk to you, make you feel welcome, great music, ( it was 80's night)..and to top it off free champagne at Midnight, many thanks for a great night..it might be 7 miles away but quickly becoming my local...
