Great service and great hot food that was to die for exceptional quality and great value for money very efficient staff one of if not the best thai restaurants we have eaten in 5*.
Couldn't fault anything, lovely little restaurant with quaint decor, service was amazing and quick and the food frankly was fantastic. Totally recommend this place. The price is as you would expect for a busy tourist location and high quality food. Absolutely loved it they even accommodated our request for a non menu dish.
Missed the lunchtime rush, so we didn't have a reservation. The interior had a distinct exotic vibe, and both the kitchen and staff were Thai. The service was quite attentive and friendly. We ordered the Tom Yum soup and seafood platter for two, and the flavors were incredibly authentic. Highly recommend the big prawn fried rice and sea bass in red curry. The seafood was fresh, and the taste was unlike typical British cuisine. A Thai restaurant we really enjoyed and highly recommend.
Just went in on the spur of the moment . We always like to try the Thai restaurant where ever we go. The staff were very friendly, service was great. I had the seafood stir fry with jasmine rice. Throughly enjoyed it. You could pick out all of the flavours, ginger came through, could have done with a bit more heat from the chilli and a little less garlic, however,on the whole cooked very well. Vegetables were still nice and crunchy. Muscles were easy to get out of the shells and the rest of the sea food was firm but not over cooked. My partner had Chicken Curry which she said was amazing. Not as authentic as some Thai restaurant we have been to, however,it is a bit more touristy.Would go back again.
We went on a very busy Tuesday evening and even though we just turned up they had a table for us. We went with our dog and was able to sit outside and even though it was mid October I was pleasantly surprised with how warm it was with the heated lamps. The food was incredible, the service and bang on and the waitors and waitresses were extremely friendly. I never thought we would be able to enjoy a stunning Thai meal with a dog but they made it happen. Definitely recommend! 👍
Just visited their sister eatery 2 doors up. Wow! Such tasty food. Great ambiance. Even the toilet is worth a visit.
We chose House Of Siam whilst on an overnight stay in Bowness. As it was a Thursday night it was fairly quiet in the restaurant and was seated quickly.
Positives…
The waitress was very attentive and the food arrived promptly. Really enjoyed the food. Full of flavour and not too spicy. Despite previous reviews stating that they felt rushed by the staff, we didn’t get that with them at all. Also felt it was good value for nice food. We had 3 courses each and a bottle of wine all for under £100.
Negatives…
Dodgy local radio station as background music 😂
Added service charge on bill without it being discretionary. Don’t mind tipping but should be given the option.
However, the above negatives wouldn’t stop us returning as the food was lovely!
On visiting the area my partner suggested we eat here. I checked out the menu and found plenty to choose from, even for me as a vegetarian.
From the moment we walked through the door to the moment we paid. We were made most welcome.
The food was clearly freshly cooked, but arrived very promptly.
The portion sizes were enough to feel full, but not uncomfortably stuffed.
The tastes were authentic and the food presented was beautiful.
The staff were attentive but not pushy. A very pleasant visit to this gorgeously colourful decorated restaurant.
It was my partners birthday and I very subtly mentioned it on arrival. Then when dessert came, without request, candles arrived on the banana fritter desert and the whole restaurant burst into a happy birthday song.
Thank you so much for a great experience, one I'd love to repeat when I return.
Such a lovely restaurant. Good food and friendly staff. We ordered "Set Menu A" which was perfect for both of us who wanted to taste variety. This was our first encounter with Thai food and wasn't disappointed. Definitely recommended.
Highly recommend this Thai restaurant. My boyfriend and I dined in recently. Staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough to make sure our dinning experience was amazing. Food was great. Highlight was the sharing platter for 2. Will definitely return again when in the area!
Excellent food and very friendly staff. We ordered Tom yum soup, fried vegetarian tempura, sea bass and rice. Niddey (server) was very friendly and served us timely. I am glad that I took niddey's advice to have the mango sticky rice, it is without a doubt the highlight of my trip to windermere. Must have dessert!
Overall, great experience. Keep up guys!
Small portions but tasty food. Beautiful design.
