Went to North Laine with friends for an incredible Sunday roast. One of the best roasts around, the quality and portions were amazing for such good value! A lovely brew house with amazing staff, amazing drinks and incredible food. Worth the visit every time!

Hello there, fellow beer enthusiasts! If you're on the hunt for a pint of delicious brew in Brighton, look no further than the North Laine Brewery.
Nestled in the heart of the city's quirky North Laine neighborhood, this brewery is a true gem. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the tantalizing aroma of hops and barley. And let me tell you, the beer here does not disappoint.
The North Laine Brewery offers a wide range of brews, from classic ales to experimental concoctions. Whether you're a fan of hoppy IPAs, smooth stouts, or anything in between, there's something here for every palate.
But what really sets this brewery apart is the passion and care that goes into each and every pint. The brewers here are true artisans, using only the finest ingredients and taking the time to perfect each brew. And the results speak for themselves - the beer here is top-notch.
And let's not forget about the atmosphere. The North Laine Brewery is like a cozy little haven, with exposed brick walls, wooden beams, and plenty of cozy seating. It's the perfect spot to kick back with a pint and catch up with friends.
Overall, the North Laine Brewery is a must-visit for any beer lover in Brighton. It's like a little slice of heaven for the taste buds. So grab your mates, head on over, and cheers to good beer and good times.

A funky and vibrant place to be on a Friday afternoon. The house brewed beers were good, the burgers looked great and the staff were friendly. Axe throwing was in full swing at the time of the visit. There is a huge selection of beers, both those brewed on site and those from further afield, plus all the usual lager and cider favourites. Thank you for the hospitality.

Many thanks to Hattie and their team for looking after our group for my son's 24th birthday celebrations. We were impressed by everyone's professionalism despite some unavoidable kitchen challenges. THANKYOU 🙏🧡

We popped in here for a drink and got excellent service from friendly and knowledgable bar staff.
We tried a couple of tasters of beers before settling on our order.
Felt like a better experience than when I was last there... For what it's worth ...the other people on their breakfast and drinks deal all seemed to be having a good time at midday on a Saturday.

Lovely Sunday lunch, three meat eaters and a vegan. All of us well looked after and well fed!
The staff were very friendly and very approachable- all round a lovely experience

Did a brewery tour and beer tasting event. We had a great host and the drinks were all nice. I’d recommend and will return when next in Brighton.

Most likely coming back again someday:)

Booked lunch with a little trepidation having read the reviews - they are so mixed it is hard to get a real feel for The Amsterdam which over the years has had a good and bad reputation - so, when in doubt, go and try yourself!
The Amsterdam has undergone some great renovations and the whole Inn has definitely had a good face lift. Was pleasantly surprised to see the car park full, always a good sign!
The staff and young and friendly and the ones looking after us certainly had a good attitude.
There are various menus from pub snacks, bar snacks to a full menu. We all chose from the full menu and could not fault the food at all - nicely presently, good portions and well priced. Pleasantly surprised (in a good way!) at the price of the wine!
All in all a very good lunch set in delightful surroundings - pleased we chose to find out if the reviews were right!

Large microbrew pub with a great atmosphere. The tanks are right behind the bar where the staff are legends & the huge beer selection is great. They have well priced flights of 3 too. The good menu is good too.

A splendid venue. I used to go here in the 1990s when it was The Gloucester nightclub. Now a packed pub+live music venue. Saw the incredibly talented #SLANT band play a short set, made new friends and drank good locally-brewed IPA.
Go!

Lovely interior and exterior. Good DJ set just lacked a bit of atmosphere as a big place to fill.

I had high hopes for the bottomless brunch this Saturday morning. We arrived slightly earlier than 11am and had a less then warm welcoming. Once we were allowed in we were told where our table was (it was very dark in the section for bottomless brunch) and settled down on the benches. The bottomless brunch is £25 with entertainment but the staff are not very flexible! I asked to swap mushrooms for an extra egg and the guy serving me said no he couldn't do it. I asked him to double check (I felt for £25 they could make a small swap such as this) - he wandered off and when he came back he hadn't even asked! I asked him to check again - eventually he begrudgingly agreed. You had to pay extra for a tea of coffee yet cocktails were unlimited (?!). When the waitress brought the food over she was sharp and snappy because we didn't respond quick enough about who had ordered what. The food was good though so that was a saving grace to the lack lustre customer service skills! The entertainment was fun with Alfie with bingo, games, and music. Such a shame the staff ruined what could have been a much better experience for the price.

Booked in advance for a Hen-Do, ordered at 11.30 and didn’t even start getting food for the table until after 1pm. Some people not served until 2pm so we couldn’t drink with our food. Barely an apology, just lots of telling off about using too many glasses, even though you had to continually queue to get any drinks. Some food was cold. Entertainment didn’t start till 1.30pm and we were seated round a corner so we couldn’t see any of it. Definitely not worth £25, big disappointment.

We had a hoot yesterday at the bottomless Brunch for my birthday and Alfie was great entertainment. Thank you for accommodating the changes I asked for to my breakfast, you did this with no fuss and produced exactly what I asked for. This made the experience even better and it tasted great! Bar staff were also attentive to our table thanks.

Nice interior and nice beer. We were having issues with the DJ, the place was pretty empty but the music was so loud you couldn’t talk, I get that when it’s packed and everyone is dancing, but if there aren’t many people you wanna be able to have a chat! And the DJ basically just said ‘not my problem’. My friend also left her card and they by the time she returned literally 40 mins later they had chopped it up, I get it’s policy but maybe extend the time a bit, 40 mins is a bit short. Overall I do like this pub, and the staff serving me were nice, but just a couple of things could have been better last night.

We had our Xmas buffet lunch last week which was sadly shocking to say time least. Definitely not enough food for over 50ppl and the selection was small and dire. Considering the amount paid, I would have been better off at a fast food joint! Frozen stuff from Iceland would have been sufficient considering.

Just had a roast dinner. Really didn't rate it! Chicken with no chicken on, just the bone!
With BBQ sauce on top of it. This is not a BBQ it's a Sunday roast!! Also no mint sauce even tho they wasn't serving lamb but us brits loves mint Sauce not to forget the hard bit of perfumed wood I got to endure wft was that???
But save the best till last was the HUUUUGE raw uncooked parsnip that was so HARD!!!
I didn't know whether to eat it of take it home with me soz guys not good

Great place really good selection of beer's and decent food

Very disappointed.
Booked a table in a specific area (which I confirmed face to face with a member of staff who noted it on a tablet 5 days before) for 25 people - so not a small booking.
I arrived to find they hadn't reserved that area, as other people were occupying it, and they had put flyers on different random tables which were not even together.
We had also called ahead to not only confirm the booking but also to confirm that the kitchen was open until 9:30pm as we were all looking forward to ordering nachos and table sharers.
Having arrived at 9pm and been put on the different tables, we were then told the kitchen had closed early with no apology, the staff seemed very unbothered and uninterested.
Terrible service, no communication, as as a Brightonian, embarrassed to have invited my friends there. Will definitely never be booking again.
Would definitely not recommend.

Bit expensive, both food and drink. Sadly I was disappointed with my meal. Didn't like the coleslaw, the bun was tough and the burger tasteless. Nice atmosphere and lovely staff though
Antony Komodromou
1 orange juice & lemonade(pint)a diet Pepsi(pint) £7.95 very expensive for 2 drinks, the roast on Sunday was very nice & good size portions but drinks very overpriced
Stuart Farmer
Possibly the best muchos nachos ever washed down by the in house brew. All very tasty.
Beware of the candles though they sometimes creep up and melt your carrier bag while you're looking the other way wondering what that strange smell is...oops!

Nice place. Lots of room. But live music so loud you can't hear yourself let anyone else. Turn it down a bit!
