This was a great experience. We got 20% off with a leaflet and the food was great. There were plenty of chips and the chicken burger was fantastic. The service was quick, efficient and friendly. I’d definitely come back here!

Initially got the chicken to go, but it looked so good we sat and ate in anyway. It was by far the best fried chicken I’ve had, even the salad and fries were delicious.
The service was great, very chatty and pleasant people and overall created a nice environment. I would also say it was a good value for money, considering the quality. I would definitely have it again.

Very friendly service, one of the best buffalo wings (+blue cheese sauce) and chicken burgers I’ve had. Crispy on the outside but still juicy and succulent. Coleslaw was nice and fresh unlike most places that have the bog standard store bought kind. Everything is halal apart from the ‘Piggie Smalls’ burger which contains ham hock, the store confirmed this is stored and cooked separately to everything else.

The food was absolutely incredible! The flavours were amazing and they had lots of options in vegan too for those non meat eaters. Katsu katsu loaded fries were delicious 😋🤤

Delicious fried chicken. Ordered wings and tenders both came with either salad, slaw or chips. Great quality and value. Definitely visiting again. Very friendly staff.

Had a satisfying and full on meal that was worth the journey. The flavours are spot on and the portions are very generous that we both left feeling full. Great customer service by the amazing Abby.

Tasty fried chicken menu. Unfortunately no proper seating in the resturant nor outside aswell. Flavourful burgers and fries bit on the pricy side. Might come again to give it another shot.

Yum yum yummm as always! First time visiting the Brighton store, not many seats available to dine in and eat compared to the Hastings store, but the quality and taste is on point! Them Bokadoosh wings are good for the soul.

Excellent fried chicken located few metres from the beach! Especially the creative flavours (Buffalopez!) the staff is pleasant and patient, efficient too! The seating area outside is nice but if it’s cold/windy then the inside area is quite small. Given the delicious food, am sure is a hot takeaway/delivery choice!

Great place. After trying their wings at Wingfest, we visited their Hastings shop (also great!). Finally got to visit the Brighton location this weekend. Fast and friendly service, and the food was delicious. We had the Goku and Bokadoosh chicken tenders and both were super tasty. Will definitely come back next time we go Brighton.

Honestly the best chicken in brighton. My wings were cooked perfectly and the tenders were succulent. My mates burger was so juicy as well. Will definitely be coming back and I'll be recommending this place 100%

this place is sooooo delicious, so scrumptious; an oasis of tantalizing flavor in a desert of bland English fast food. the workers are so chill and hospitable it creates a welcoming environment you want to come back to. when i am craving something with real FLAVOR and some kick to it, but also easy and quick, this is always my go-to. i can't recommend this place enough.

Amazing chicken wings!! A must if ever youre in Brighton.

Amazing flavours, amazing options, dragonball Z inspired menu, street fighter and great background music - absolute combo!
Food lived up the service and ambience.
If I could give it 6 stars, I would.
Even the dog agrees!

Came to Brighton on vacation, and wanted to have take out on one of our nights. Google reviews for the Bok Shop were good so we gave it a shot and honestly....the best chicken I have ever had hands down. The shop is cute, the menu had great options and the customer service was exceptional. Especially Matea, who helped us with choosing her picks off the menu (which did not dissapoint) and was just very friendly and made our experience enjoyable. I can't wait to come back to Brighton just to come here!

I’ve had wings to go from here previously on a wing tour of Brighton’s best joints, today I enjoyed some tenders and the Bokadoosh tenders are just… incredible. The flavour of the sauce, the crispy coated fresh tender and the side of fried pickles is perfect. It was incredible to see these guys at WingFest in London and as soon as we were in Brighton again I knew we had to have some! The buffalo is just amazing too… and make sure you get lots of blue cheese sauce to compliment the hot and spicy! Bok Shop chicken is 🔥

This place is a wonder the customer service is fantastic and the chicken wings are fresh and juicy and taste fantastic some of the best wings I have had in ages. The prices are really reasonable for quantity and quality and would recommend this place for those wanting fried chicken in Brighton

Tried this place on Friday evening and will definitely be coming back!
Atmosphere was lively and all the staff were friendly. Wasn’t sure what to get and although I didn’t catch her name, the hostess was kind of enough to offer samples of the sauces so I knew which one I liked.

I visited The Bok Shop this week with my partner (who is vegan). We were seated quickly as there was only 1 table in. I ordered the Satay Chicken burger and she ordered the Thai vegan burger. Both with fries. 1 Diet Coke/Pepsi, 1 out-of-date “Banks” bottled beer. The food was made pretty quickly but remained on the counter whilst the Cook rang the bell up to 5 times. The (only) waitress seemed a little overwhelmed even with such a small floor to control. I was about to get up and get the food from the window myself when it was finally brought over. A few fries on the top were cold but the rest were basic fries, can’t go wrong. My chicken burger wasn’t crispy at all. The satay sauce was pretty tasteless. I got like a hint of peanut butter in a few mouthfuls. The vegan burger which I tasted a little of was crispier but kinda tasted, and had the texture of stuffing... fried in batter (not horrible; don’t get me wrong but I’ve tasted much better faux chicken from the supermarket). After leaving, passing friends also commented about a very bad experience at The Bok Shop. Which is a shame as I’d been wanting to go since moving to Brighton in January as the place looked pretty cool. Overall poor experience across the board tbh. I feel like an a**hole for writing this but feedback is feedback.
Thanks anyway, I guess

Absolutely shocked to see so many good reviews. The staff must have been correct saying it was an off day. The food was too tasteless to be offensive. Felt like there had been zero seasoning in the batter and I had to go back and check the menu to see if the wings mention the word hot. Indeed they were sold as hot wings but they had absolutely zero heat. All three of us having lunch had the same opinions and left confused as to what had happened and how fried chicken could be so void of flavour. The aesthetic of the place is great and the staff were friendly, especially the blonde waitress. We were given a discount which was appreciated. Sadly would not return and still on the hunt for good chicken!

Wow... what can I say. I just rolled in at 5pm on Thursday before Xmas. After recently finding out I'm allergic to gluten I didn't have high hopes for eating in Bok as I had been hoping to. But how wrong was I. Everything was made fresh and gluten free. The coated cauliflower is mega yum. Great chips. But dam... that satay chicken burger. A gluten free feast fit for a king. And the bun was beautiful. Amazing friendly staff, made me feel super welcome and nothing was too much for them. And top quality trip hop on the sounds... doesn't get better.... Will be back.

Absoloutely love the fact you can make any of the burgers vegan or vegetarian!! I always go for the satay night fever veggie burger because it's sooo good. All the sides I've tried have been banginggg but I'm so obsessed with the corn on the cobb, the seasoning is amazing.
All round great place to eat 10/10 would recommend

recently had a bad experience with bok shop on deliveroo but got a really nice response and have just tried their food in the shop and all the food was delicious and the staff were lovely. had lots of nice options for vegans. i guess some food just doesn't travel well, and is much better enjoyed fresh in store. thank you!

Went in, ate 64 wings for £15, felt good. Got to colour in the menu while I was waiting for them to dish up the colossal amount of wings I was ready to devour. The service was great with both staff assisting with drinks and getting food, didn't mean I had to wait for just one person to check if we needed top ups etc.
The chicken it's self can with spices (nothing hardcore, just flavour) and bits of chopped spring onion,I really got on with the taste of the chicken and it was incredible with the sauces they have on offer, one is like a chinese style soy and something sauce, made the wings soo delicious.
I can't wait to go back for more but don't wanna put you guys out of business eating your entire stock in one sitting ;)

I had my birthday here on Tuesday. I wanted to try it way earlier than this but now having been I can't think of a bad thing to say. The chicken burger (Satay Night Fever) is honestly the best I've had. It tasted incredible. The wings are great, bigger than I expected. I'm a northerner, so gravy is in my blood. It was so good I drank it from the pot. There were a lot of us to cope with, but the service was excellent. I can't wait to come again and try the rest of it. Thanks for a tasty birthday!

Had the most amazing chicken this eve at the Bok shop , the gravy is to die for great addition to Brighton food . Service was super great also

Best chicken in Brighton is a little understatement, this place is up there with the best I’ve eaten! The staff are chilled out and friendly and the service is phenomenal.
Tonight I was beaten by the wing challenge 56/57 wings consumed and although I physically couldn’t move for a while, my stomach was ridiculously happy. I’m now planning my next trip and looking forward to trying the new additions coming to the menu

Great food (especially veggie and vegan!) and great place. Would definitely recommend!

Banging fried cauliflower! Perfect amount of spice and nice and crispy! The vegi burger is great too! Such a lot of food for what you pay for! So much to choose from- Amazing vegi and vegan options also! Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere

I love the bok shop! The vegan alternative is incredible! And the fact you can make any burger vegan also is a massive plus!

I went there for lunch on Thursday afternoon with my friend. We had chicken wings, burger and some sides. everything was lovely. I really liked chicken wings! Full of flavour with nice crunchy coating. It would be nice to have some dip with fried pickles, but that’s just my personal preference.
The staff were very friendly too and we loved the colouring page on the menu !!!:)

I ordered this afternoon via a food delivery company. I was excited to try a new restaurant. I love fried chicken, it’s one of my favourite treats. I ordered 2 chicken pieces, cauliflower pieces, fries and fried pickles/cucumbers.
The chicken was vile. No flavour at all. Never again.
The rest of my order was to die for! I will order again. Next time I will stay well away from the chicken and have the vegetarian options instead

Awesome little shop that I found by accident. I walked passed on the bank holiday weekend with a very hot and bothered little pug. I asked if there was a park nearby so I could sit him in the shade. The guy invited both myself and my pup inside and got him a bowl of water. We came back later with our family for an amazing meal! Being a veggie, a chicken shop would be my last choice of restaurant as the options are so limited. I was very happy to see all of the burgers could be made to suit veggies and vegans! There are some awesome sides too! We come to Brighton every year to visit family so we will definitely be back!
Oh oh oh ... the best bit? You can colour in the menus!!!

Guys , we ate here today for lunch, it was amazing and we'd always recommend that people visit when in 'The Lanes', well done on doing fried chicken so well.
I enjoyed playing with the toy cars on the table as well , Martyn (aged 52 & 3/4's)
We will diffidently visit again when back in Brighton
