Average hotel, rooms are nice and well equipped, only a few minutes walking distance from the beach.
Although when we got there, there was no one on the reception, front door unlocked and open. So basically anyone can walk and since there’s no one reception, no one would even notice...so after having rang the bell about 10 times to get someones attention, there was still no response. I ended phoning up the hotel to get someone to come down to reception...
Apart from this as I mentioned before:
Good location, decent rooms, quite reasonable prices and very quiet.

Don't book this hotel if you don't want your money going for ZERO service. This hotel refused to refund me although they didn't even let me in. I wasn't even able to enter this hotel, still they are doing anything they can to charge me money.
I booked a non-refundable room but when I arrived, I was told by one staff that this hotel was closed. I thought it was natural to get a refund in this case BUT it turned out to be almost impossible…
First, another staff told booking.com that they were still open so booking.com didn't refund me. Second, on the day after, when I contacted the hotel again, they said the system showed I have already checked-out so they can't refund me. I have no idea how I manage to check out without even entering their door at all?
I was too mad so I have been contacting booking.com's agents. Finally one agent help me approve the refund request. Currently I am still waiting for the refund from this hotel. If I have to say something, this hotel literally seems like robber to me. If not for the only one helpful booking.com agent (most other agents are no helpful), I am sure I can't get my money back even I didn't stay in this hotel at all.

Horrific customer service - cancelled the night before due to overbooking (at 11pm) and only found out the morning. Would not refund train tickets I'd made at all. Genuinely very very poor and would not recommend in such uncertain times particularly.

I have booked the room using expedia. Received confirmation of my booking and money was taken from my account. This sbould have been first red flag as I opted for the option-pay on arrival.I arrived at the hotel on the day of my booking at 6pm . There was no one there to let me in and when I called the emergency number i was told that I don't have a booking with them and that all their rooms are busy and I have no accommodation for tge night.when i told the person on the phone that they confirmed my vooking and took the payment for this room he was very rude and told ne it's not his problem and i need to speak to expedia and he hang up.The worst experience you can imagine. We had to find another hotel and pay 3 times more tahn originally intended for the room just to had somewhere to sleep.Avoid this place

Booked and paid, verification email. When I arrived alone to check in, called the number and was told my booking was a mistake and there was no room for me so I had to find somewhere else to book. Now hotels.com say i will have to wait at least 7 days for a refund. I won’t be using this site again

The Hotel refused to cancel & refund my reservation trough the COVID-19 pandemic, even though the UK government imposed a 14 day quarantine to tourists and I was travelling for 3 days.
The hotel was the only business refusing refunds to COVID-19 travelers as my airline and train operator promptly refunded the order at a moment's notice

This is not a hotel with 24 hour front desk, parking vouchers and room service as advertised. It has changed hands and is now SELF CHECK IN - though you won't be told this and will not get the codes unless you spend hours on the phone as the contact number given on your confirmation is incorrect! The reception looks like a building site (see photo) and we found hairs in the bed - there are no staff whatsoever on site to sort any problems out. The rooms are not great either. AVOID AT ALL COSTS......

Set Valentines Menu - Restaurant staff ( a total of 5) not very attentive - asked for bread/rolls and butter - they brought out 2 slices of toast in a toast rack! Steak came well cooked ( on cold plates) I asked for rare! No one asked us if our meal was ok until

Gloopy and no taste - told the waiter and he said it tasted fine to him - so left that as well - no coffee offered after meal - great Valentines night - not! Having been to Gulliver’s next door was expecting the same quality - was greatly disappointed by the whole evening

Booked a family room (double and single bed) but was given three singles and according to their website these can be provided by request only (not requested by me) bed was way too soft woke at 5.05am with backache � When we were all awake hubby put kettle on but no milk, we called on phone to request some but no one answered, I called three more times and still no answer so we had black coffee! Breakfast was a shambles too. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Stayed here on the 20/7/2016 had booked 2 nights with breakfast and 3 course a la carte for both days.was told first night could order of the a LA carte menu every thing fine with meal second night told couldn't order of a LA carte menu only special menu so not happy then orders pork with mash and gravy meal came pork cold mash lumpy and gravy like water oh and no custard with apple crumble. Wife returned meal. Not happy.

Staff were all lovely and helpful. Bed was comfy. Room okay, decor tired perhaps? Toilet had so so flush, difficult to even flush toilet paper, and toilet was stained, sink cracked and no hot water in the morning. Difficult to judge noise as our room on ground floor by front door and movement, talking etc disturbed early morning. You expect noise in a hotel and was one night only so okay, Breakfast was okay, nothing special but cooked well, toast was lovely sourdough bread. With so many hotels to choose from in Brighton I am not sure this offers enough to be recommended over another.

Stayed for 3nights Venetian room sea views balcony lovely room friendly staff . Had to go to sister hotel for breakfast because our kitchen was being refurbished , but not a problem 2minute walk really unable to find a fault will be going back and want hesitate to recommend this hotel 👍👍👍👍👍

My wife and I enjoyed a three course meal for my birthday on the 18th February. We treated ourselves to a bottle of prosecco and had an enjoyable time. I had steak which was cooked to perfection and the staff were very attentive.

Stayed here 03/11/17 won't stay again found previous occupants tablets on the floor so handed them back to reception , then we realised that when we emptied the sink it flooded the shower floor and all waste came up through shower plughole smelt of sewage absolutely disgusting. Sink was cracked part of the decor missing although the breakfast was cooked to a good standard it's a shame the accommodation was very poor not sure how it is awarded four stars though . Asked for the management to give me a call when we checked out at 10.00 still waiting for that call defo won't stay there again .

Have been here on numerous occasions and the food has always been fantastic. This time it was awful. I had the ravioli starter, it was tasteless and appeared to be in lumpy dishwater. My husband and friend had the pork cheeks which were tough and fatty. The vegetables were overlooked and cold as was most of the rest of it. I had chocolate mousse for desert and it was not good. Piped on a plate with squiggles of whipped cream on it which I hate. An altogether horrible meal. We will not be going back.
