I bought a ticket to see Adrian Sherwood of On-U sound. The Gladstone is a great pub venue. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Sherwood put on a great show. Google wants me to review the food, so I guess I'll have to go back another time for that.
Omg!!! What an amazing roast. First time eating at the Gladstone and was sooooooooo happy with our meal.
6 of us eating a roast and all loved it. Great meat cooked to perfection (I had the lamb) and the best Yorkshire pudding I have ever had. Cauliflower cheese was so nice and cheesy. Would definitely get as a side.
Service was also great as served super quick, and by the chef herself.
All in all a solid 9.5/10

The place itself looks a bit grubby but I really enjoyed the food! I had a very tasty blue cheese and bacon burger, the balsamic onions on it were very tasty and plenty of blue cheese as well. Great beer garden out the back and they do 2 for 1 on burgers on a certain day, maybe Mondays (up till a certain time) I think!
It's very rare to find a carribean place with good food, good service, a good atmosphere, and all at a decent price. This has all three.
I went to Brighton to see some family. my uncle brought me, the Mrs, and my nephew here.
Needless to say, the next time I'm here, I'm definitely heading here again.
Another tip, go on a Sunday cause the roasts are amazing

These guys really know how to do Great burgers. Choice of a dozen burgers, we all had beef so can't say how good the chicken fish or veggie options are. But based on ours they should be outstanding. Be hungry as the portions are big but not expensive. We are out of student terms so the pub was reasonably busy but in term time I'm sure it gets very busy. Good local ales and cider plus the usually too. Great music and friendly staff. Give it a go
This is a really lovely pub, very spacious with lots of character. It has a nice outdoor area, with heated booths. There is often live music here and I have actually played here myself. The beer selection is good and the service has always been good. This is a great place to drink with friends.

The kitchen here "Union Grill" produce delicious roasts, (I recommend ordering a board which has a mixed roast), really good burgers (Monday 2 for 1) and is a great pub with regular live music and a fantastic enclosed garden! For veggies, they have a 'Mac fritter' burger made of macaroni cheese - its really good!
One of the most vibrant and iconic pub in the heart of Brighton city.
Could do with some gentrification but definitely the best on this road. Nice patio area at the back, nice and friendly staff. Menu looked good but wasn't very inspiring with too many deals and cheap meals
