A lovely little pub with a good atmosphere - the live jazz band was a nice touch. We ordered Sunday roasts which were very tasty, but the roast potatoes weren't quite up to scratch.

Took a while to get quite an expensive cocktail but otherwise nice decor and good atmosphere. Nice touch with the watermelon 🍉

The service, food and vegan selection is excellent, seitan sandwich was so good! Just the vibe of the place wasn't great, suspiciously dead during a busy Saturday when we visited

We popped in here for a cheeky little Sunday lunch, and what a great little find.
I was surprised this quirky venue wasn't busier than it was...
Although our initial greeting was a bit surly, the staff actually turned out to be very friendly.
We didn't have to wait ages for our food, and I have to say my Haddock and Chips was delicious. The fries were dusted with a pepper of some sort and were very tasty...the batter on the haddock was crispy and not too soggy at all, very very enjoyable. Oh, and minted peas...what a blast from the past!
Girlie went for a hamburger, which was stacked with goodies, and was more than enough for her appetite.
The background music was just right, playing some proper mum tunes...not too noisy or intrusive, not too quiet, it suited the atmosphere just right.
Why only 4 stars? Well, the duty manager promised to email details of Christmas menus etc for girlies firms Christmas do, and as of yet, nothing has arrived....shame.

Had a Sunday roast here and it definitely exceeded expectations!! Tried both the beef and the pork belly and both were very well cooked. Veggies and Yorkshire pudding were up to a good standard. Good beer selection as well, and the pub is very cozy. Recommended!!

Very useful area in town to find a meal and drink that is not too far away from the local buses and other things. A good collection of main meals and drinks and helpful waitresses there for stuff to order, not been before however would try again in another season

Beautiful art deco style pub. I've seen it on a Sunday at noon when it's more relaxed and then again on a Saturday night when it's really loud and a bit more hyped up. Not great for a chat with a pal when it's like that to be fair. The Sunday roast looks really good. It's an institution. Just choose your moment.

Nice spot to have drinks. We liked the live music but it was too loud so we couldn’t talk. They have a special offer: 2 drinks for £15 on the same cocktail, what I find very nice. I can really recommend the peach cosmopolitan. All in one the location is very nice and I’ll definitely go there again.

Great food and beer selection, if you wish to eat I'd recommend going before 6pm as it can get very busy in here and finding a table can be tricky. The place had a cool look, mixing old school pub with modern touches. Also has theme food nights, macaroni Monday and chicken Wednesday.

Good range of food, not extensive but different enough for genuine choice. My hallumi hot dog was good but had weird chewy things on top, chips and salad great, boyfriend had sausage and mash which could have done with some veg. Not enough to stop me from returning for more food. Would have stayed longer for drinks but DJ came on at 9:15 and we could no longer talk. Hey, must be my age, Thursday night meals out are for talking. Nice place, gorgeous decoration, reasonably priced.

It was a wonderfully hot sunny day when we popped in here for a refreshing drink to cool us down.
Our waitress was exemplary and we stayed to order some food. Absolutely delicious.

Had a really lovely time tonight. Initially just went in for a drink but stayed for a couple. They were short staffed and busy but the staff were lovely especially a young girl with brown hair in buns. Nothing was too much trouble for her. We even got a table to have our dinner there, a halloumi burger and a beef burger, which were amazing. Had a great night, would highly recommend

Big food and drink portions here though mostly a good time to come and have a meal of some sort, looking forward to coming here in the winter months as more stuff to try out.

Great pub went here for a couple of drinks before going to see Richard Ashcroft at the Brighton center.
Great selection of drinks.
Lovely, funky, decor, and on on a Saturday night that we visited some great tunes, wham, club tropicana followed by fools gold, the stone roses, music for all ages. I'm a young 49 year old, but felt comfortable in this laid back pub.
Staff and bouncers were very friendly too.
Will definitely go back here when we visit Brighton again.

The food is amazing here! We got the fish n chips and some cheesy fries with crispy bacon 🤌
It has some good vegetarian options but I can't recall how many vegan...

One of the most stylish and original pubs in Brighton (not far from the seafront), the Seven Stars offers a more than decent variety of ales, plus the usual selection of national and international lagers. What makes the Seven Stars special is the highly original décor and the spacious indoor seating area - this is truly a place to linger and while away a lazy afternoon. The staff are usually very friendly and helpful, too. One of the best traditional pubs (with a bar vibe) in Brighton. Recommended.
