We’ve had breakfast here the last 2 days and our breakfast rolls have been fantastic! We also got some rolls and scones for a snack later and they were also lovely. Service was incredible and they were so sweet! They remembered us from the previous day :) 10/10 recommend stopping by for a quick breakfast!

My partner and I visited for breakfast and were impressed by the selection available on the menu - and the ability to make a custom breakfast roll too! I’m a veggie so seeing vegetarian square sausage and vegetarian haggis on the menu was a nice surprise. The coffees were really tasty, and we were tempted by a cheese scone too - we had intended to save the scone to eat whilst we were on our walking tour, but when we were asked if we wanted it warm with butter, suffice to say it didn’t last much longer. And there were no regrets, it was incredible! I’d definitely recommend this bakery, especially for a quick, portable breakfast before or during sight seeing!

I love the Scottish/American fusion in some of the dishes and absolutely love that they’re using some of the same recipes from 3 generations ago. Such a cool place and amazing ownership. Couldn’t ask for nicer people.

My husband and I absolutely loved visiting when we were in Edinburgh in September from Alabama. The cherry almond scone was fabulous. We had the Scottish sampler, and it did not disappoint. My husband’s sandwich was great too. Very friendly staff and warm atmosphere!

Finally got to check this place out after following them on TikTok for a while and I'm happy to report that it lived up to the hype. I ordered a cherry scone with a coffee and it was one of the best scones I've ever had! My husband and I also got to chat with one of the owners and he was incredibly nice and even gave us a restaurant recommendation. We were only in Edinburgh for a short time but this place is definitely worth a visit - can't wait to back!

Had an amazing time at this bakery when I went a couple of weeks ago! We were lucky to get some space at a table since the place is small but it was lovely! I got the scotch pie which I was super excited to try and everyone in my party said that they wish they would have gotten it as well! Super rich crust and the meat inside was very flavorful. The other people in my party got some breakfast sandwiches which were also great but the scotch pie was just so unique compared to what we usually get so it was definitely a crowd favorite. We also got one of the cherry scones and thought it was delicious! My sister got a cappuccino and it was also amazing (they make them right behind the counter so it was super fresh)! The service here was amazing as well! We didn’t really know what we wanted when we came in, but they were so kind to us and gave us some great recommendations! I would definitely come back to the bakery and highly recommend it!

I have been coming here for a few years now and will say the helpfulness of all here, banter and quality of food make this a great wee place to have breakfast or lunch. There’s a good selection and helpful guides available for anyone unsure what to order. Also everyone here is happy to answer questions if you’re unsure. It can get busy at lunchtime during the work week as this is a popular place with locals and I will say the wait is worth it. Personal recommendations would be the toasties, breakfast rolls, homemade cakes, scones and the soups. I would add they have pasties and pies that also get high praise although I’ve not managed to get round to these.

Hands down some of the best food we had while in Scotland! Everything we had was so incredibly delicious! We got to speak with one of the owners when he brought our food to us too, and not only was he very welcoming, but he also gave us so many great recommendations for restaurants to try and places to see. I can’t wait to visit Edinburgh again just so we can go come back to Preacher’s for another meal!
