I love this place. It's like being on holiday! Authentic Portuguese diner, so you'll get your pasteis de nata, pasteis de bacalhao, galao etc. Great fried breakfast (unlike many 'English' cafes, it's done with a little extra care and quality) but also a variety of Portuguese meals - arroz de mariscos the last time I was there. Friendly staff. Nothing flash, just does what it does brilliantly. And keeps on doing it!

They sell one of the best pastel de nata I've had! The custard filling is lush, not overly sweet and pastry is flaky as ever. I've only ever had takeaways but I'm determined now to go sit in one day and enjoy their goodies with a cuppa. The staff are also very nice, always have a smile and happy to help with any requests.

We both had the cheese, mushroom and onion omelette, I had a double espresso and my husband had camomile tea and we had 2 pastel de nata to take away.
The omelette was stuffed full and was very tasty, nicest omelette I’ve had in a while and the tarts were amazing, just like the ones we had in Portugal.

Excellent quality food just like it is in Portugal, The staff are friendly and the place is really clean. Take out is also good I phoned the day before to pick up Nata's cakes and they were all ready to collect when I arrived. This is now my go to place for authentic Portuguese food and cakes. They also do a nice English breakfast and a vegan version too.

Honestly one of the nicest places to go for food in Newcastle.
Really tasty home cooked food and the service is fantastic.
Takes American Express and has high chairs. Easy parking, just around the corner (you have to pay for).

I enjoyed my breakfast here, they do nice coffee and pastries. Not a massive selection of pastries but they have different options like full English. Ill definitely go back when im in the area.

good coffee, didn’t realize they do food as well so would be nice to visit again and try it. service was also really good.. it was very quiet when we visited, which made it a perfect spot to read/work/study. also heard the staff speaking in Portuguese and some other clients were also chatting in Portuguese which made the experience even more immersive

Just delicious! If I forgot that I was on the West Rd in Newcastle, I could almost imagine being on holiday in Portugal itself. Great service! Amazing food! Lovely atmosphere. Stuffed and happy now. You must check this place out! 😍
