Loved this place. Great food and fabulous, friendly service in the most gorgeous area of historic Norwich.
My favourite cafe to visit when I am in the mood to tuck away in a cute place with a book. A wide range of teas and delicious cakes to choose from as well as just being too cute a place!
Found this lovely tea room while wondering down Elm Hill. Stopped for a coffee and some wonderful homemade lemon cake. My boyfriend had a soft drink and large piece of red velvet cake. We will be returning again, next time we visit Norwich.
4 female generations of my family had such a lovely time having afternoon tea here. The staff were friendly and accommodated our every need making space for a pushchair and highchair for my little grandaughter. The waitress was patient and knowledgeable bit the extensive range of delicious teas which we had a great time experimenting with. The food was a lovely selection of sandwiches and sweat treats. The portions were dainty and delicious and perfectly combined. The lavender scones were super! Highly recommended!!
Have been meaning to visit for some time, so glad I made the time last week. What a delight the Tea House is! Tucked away in Wrights court of Elm Hill, it really is a hidden gem of Norwich. Such a warm, friendly welcome from the lovely “Tea lady”, made it feel very much like we’d just popped into a friends for a cuppa. But with great attention to detail, including explaining to my daughter that when the timer finished, my daughters tea would be brewed and ready for her to pour. We had a vast array of teas to choose from. My daughter chose Earl Grey, and a slice of chocolate fudge cake. I went for Earl grey green, which was very tasty. I didn’t have any food this time, but I look forward to trying a toasted sandwich, in the very near future. And also enjoying the courtyard garden as the months become warmer. We look forward to our return visit and shall tick another tea off of the list!
The mini afternoon tea we had was lovely. The sandwich was so fresh and full of filling, the scone with clotted cream and Jam was very tasty and the cake was to die for. A very cute Tea House with lovely, smiley, friendly and polite staff. Will defiantly being going back.
Huge selection of tea, so much to choose from. Norfolk cream tea was excellent, the scone comes out warmed and smells (and tastes) divine, which is apt as I had a view of the church from my rear garden seat. It's nice and quiet, sheltered with front and rear seating plus indoor too. Great value for money.
Every time I visit this place I am warmly welcomed and invited in. Table service is always very good. Nicola is always happy to chat or just give you the peace and quiet this place is able to offer. The menu is impressive for a small, independent tea shop. The price reflects the quality - it is good quality home cooked food. Very very lovely.
Really beautiful little place with great staff and wonderful sandwiches, teas, coffee and cakes.
Afternoon tea for my wife and me for Valentine's day surprise we loved it, everything was beautifully fresh and very tasty, the tea menu is extensive with some curious blends which deserve further investigation at a later date, which I'm sure will be quite soon. The Tea House is tucked away in Wrights Yard on the Historic Elm Hill which is I believe the most complete Medieval street in Britain(?) Well worth a visit.
A little gem off one of Norwich's cobbled streets in a yard. Huge selection of leaf teas and lovely coffee too. Also a wonderful selection of fresh cakes and light meal and breakfast menu. I would thoroughly recommend. Dog friendly, WiFi and outside seating overlooking a church.
