This is an outstanding pub. I have now visited over sixty pubs on the Norwich City of Ale trails and there are none obviously better. The barman was very good, the beer was superb and it is such a delightful place. It is tiny inside, but the space is well thought out.

Cracking little micro on the NR3 Beer Mile in Norwich.
Fills up quickly, so get there early otherwise you might not get a seat.
The beers are an amazing selection of both craft and cask and some unknown breweries as well as local breweries are showcased here. There is also a very good selection of cans available.
The staff really make the place. Very friendly, happy to chat to their customers and know their stuff when it comes to beer.
I would highly recommend paying The Malt and Mardle when visiting Norwich.

Great micro-pub for a natter and a cold one. Known the owners for over a decade and they are genuine, down-to-earth and welcoming people. Friendly vibe at this venue and never had a negative experience. Fully recommend popping in for a refreshing tipple.

Our favourite local! We try to go most weeks for the chill atmosphere and excellent background music. My partner loves the ever changing selection of beers (and the super friendly staff are great at recommending new things to try) and I’m never judged for always just wanting a wine :)

Visited the Malt & Mardle last Thursday with my son in law, doing a short trip round 4 of Norwich’s fine craft bars and pubs, and immediately fell in love with the place. Greeted by Izzy? A friendly knowledgeable young bartender. My Holy Goat Sour was excellent and my son in law enjoyed his Pale. This was the 1st and definitely the best of the night. Cozy, friendly great beer deffo one to revisit.

Very quirky and small but a great little pub! Really good service from the friendly barman. Nice selection of cask ales. The outside seating was out in the sunshine and perfect for a couple of beers after work on a Friday evening.

When the barrel is outside, the beer (or cider) is flowing! Superb micro pub, other pubs now just don't cut the mustard. The well curated beer selection never disappoints. Definitely one to visit, cheers!
