I didn’t stay in one of the rooms, however, my family and I ate a meal here and we had a wonderful experience! we entered with seven people and we were in a rush, the staff understood that we needed to finish our meal quickly as we had a tour to attend and they accommodated us so well. They took our orders quickly and cheerfully, likewise our food come out so fast and were just excellent. Over all a great place with even better staff! would highly recommend:)

10/10!! Modern and clean rooms, very comfy beds and polite and welcoming staff! No more than a 15 min walk from all the places you need to see and a beautiful view from the front of the building along the river. The food is also very good and would highly recommend!

The food here is delicious ( fish was beautifully cooked), the staff are very polite and friendly and there are seats outside by the water.
My only suggestion would be some umbrellas. It was not raining when we were seated but it was by the time we got our food, there was no space inside so just had to eat in the rain. The poor staff were also stood outside in the rain. A few patio umbrellas would have done the trick and would be useful for rain and sun for those with young children in summer ( and the staff stuck outside rain or shine).
Lovely pub on the water front with out door seating .. quiete yet not to out the way . Food looked good . We just had a beer and cold drink
Stayed in the deluxe room and was really impressed with this hotel. The location is great, the staff are really helpful and friendly and the room itself was lovely. Big windows for a great view of the river, comfortable bed, very well decorated and modern. The pub itself is really nice and there's the option to sit outside. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
My husband and I had a very delicious lunch here consisting of soup of the day and one of the best pies he’s eaten. Full of flavour and meat!! Service staff were very nice.

Great service, delicious food and good value for money. Lovely day outside in the sunshine, by the river.
Easy check in, staff very friendly. The room was lovely and clean and the bathroom was huge.
Although the bed was comfy the noise from revellers went on until after 3am though I don't think that it came from the bar downstairs.
The pub is central to to the Shambles and York Dungeon and bars and restaurants which were only a few minutes walk away.
