Classic Lake District tearoom with a great selection of cakes and pastries to go with morning coffee or afternoon tea.
Visited early in the morning and the service was efficient, returned for lunch later in the day and it was much busier, but managed to find outdoor seating with the dog.
There's a good range of lunch options, and you can make up your own sandwich, choosing from a range of fillings. Prices aren't cheap but not bad for a popular tourist area. The bakery also stocks cakes and bread to take home.

While not quite at the level of a patisserie or Viennoiserie, they manage a decent selection of calorific carbtastic cakes and sandwiches.
There’s no meatball marinara to threaten the likes of subway but their stuffing is second to none.
We had the most amazing sandwich from this lovely little bakery. I was going to take a picture but unfortunately I ate it too fast! We were going to dine in but decided to get a sandwich from downstairs instead. It's like a posh subway! You pick what bread and what you would like on your sandwich but its just on another level! Amazing! Friendly and helpful staff.
I would suggest a bigger bin to be made available for downstairs though as if you manage to get the table in the window once you have finished there is only a tiny bin to put all your rubbish in.
I rang to see if they where still doing breakfasts and had they got those fantastic Viennese whirls, it just rang. To my surprise later that day my phone rang and it was Steve from Bryson's who told me that they still did breakfasts, but hadn't any Viennese whirls at that moment, he was waiting for them. Well the following morning I received a text saying there would be no breakfast as chef was ill and he didn't want my to turn up and be disappointed, how nice was that. Well if you think that's good, try their cakes. Thank you. See you in November
We've made Bryson's a regular stop for lunch in Windemere after receiving consistently good service and great food. The prices are reasonable and everything is fresh and delicious. I usually get the soup and salad combo so can recommend that one! Even if you need a nice place to rest while having a brew and a muffin, this is a beautiful place with a lovely atmosphere (5 stars on the atmosphere!). We'll keep coming back!

My wife and I both had a lunchtime sandwich one was mozzarella ham and pesto on brown cob bun which was toasted. Other sandwich was chicken with black pepper and a hint of lemon in mayonnaise on brown cob bun. Both came with a side salad and slaw.

The place was lovely and so inviting.lovely staff and the best Viennese swirl I’ve ever had hands down.
Lovely little cafe and the scone with clotted cream was delicious as was the pot of tea. Lady that greeted us was slightly scary barking at us that there was a 20 minute wait for food! Overall good experience.
Lovely cream tea, good value, Arrived at a busy time, although would have been nice to be acknowledged while waiting to be seated. Lovely scones and fruitcake.
