Golden Dragon

Our experience here was fantastic. Food is good with reasonable price. Service was great. The quality of food is superb. I would recommend this to my friends who will visit Windermere. As you can see in the photos, our plates are almost clean as we loved the food so much 😊 we gave a small tip and we don't normally give one when we eat out.

Lovely attentive staff and a pleasant relaxing atmosphere. Didn't reserve the table but were still sitted as soon as one became available which didn't take long. The food arrived sooner than expected, piping-hot, freshly cooked and ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Have never had chinese so pungent and tasty: chicken with ginger & spring onion was so gingery, it was incredible. Salt & pepper ribs had an immensely crispy and crunchy coating on them and were smothered in heaps of toasted crushed garlic - divine! The best discovery was the 'salt & pepper chips' - something no meal can do without! All finger-licking good!

Ordered from Golden mountain whilst we were staying nearby in White Cross Bay. We were told there was a bit of a wait, but they'd try and get it ready for half 6. We arrived at half 6 just on the off chance it would be ready not expecting it to be but it was! The food was absolutely spot on, we couldn't fault it. The service from ordering over the to collection was brilliant

They were full and said we'd have to wait 40min but eventually after telling them we had a long and tiring day they managed to give us a table. Very, very nice staff, great attitude, super tasty food, amazing little restaurant, perfectly clean, very reasonably priced as well. Highly recommended! PS: By far the best value eat in the centre of Windermere

We first called in after looking at the reviews on this quaint little restaurant on the highstreet. Got some really nice reviews compared to another Chinese restaurant that was near there. Although their wasn't enough room at the time, due to being only bring a small restaurant. We were asked to come back an hour later. Which we did! They found us a nice little table with leg room. We didn't order a starter. Only a main course & just sparkling water. The service was good & the meal was lovely. The bill was reasonably priced for what we ordered just under £35 !
