What a gem!
Fantastic friendly staff
Locals that are extremely welcoming
A group of 8 of us attended - 4 adults and 4 kids and there was no complaints from anyone.
Sunday roast was absolutely incredible!
Fantastic roast, really lovely pub. The staff greeted us with such a warm welcome, it was as though they were greeting someone they knew (this was the first time we've been).
It was really busy by 1pm, so would highly recommend booking!
Both had the pork belly, it just melted in your mouth. We had the stuffing balls and pigs in blankets as extras and these were fantastic too. Good amount of gravy too which is a big thing for me!
Will definitely be going back again!
I normally never finish my roast, well…today was different! I left an empty plate. I think this was possibly one of the best roasts of my life. It was beautiful and absolutely delicious. We also ordered some extra pigs in blanket and stuffing balls. Omg! The stuffing balls were to die for. I can highly recommend this pub for family Sunday roast. The staff are also very nice and friendly. We will definitely be back again soon ☺️
Lovely Sunday Roast, like your mum used to make. Great Service. I suggest you booked in advance before you go, because it’s busy.
The food was extremely good! Everything was really lovely and tasty, with amazing flavours. Not your regular pub food FOR SURE. Very family friendly. Best brownie we have eaten in a long time. Staff all chatty and friendly and welcoming.
We truly enjoyed our midweek lunch here. Everyone was interactive with us.
Will come back for sure.
I phoned up this pub to see if I needed to book a table for my dad and I to have lunch, it was early lunchtime so the landlady informed me I didnt need to and to just come along. When off the phone I said to my dad, I have a feeling its going to be a nice place because the response on the phone was a very friendly one. We were not disappointed. From arriving, ordering, eating, the interaction with the staff and the service was exceptional. The pub itself is a beautiful building , very spacious and plenty of space for anyone to go and enjoy. Children and Dog friendly also . We will definalty be visiting again when I visit dad and I know he will visit again ❤
I've attended a couple of funeral wakes and also had a couple of snack meals here. The food is really good and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It's on a good bus route and there's a large car park at the front. Certainly worth a visit.
Give the chef/chefs/cooks here a Michelin! I have just chosen a nut roast off the Vegan Menu (ahead of their time too) - and it was the most delicious nut roast with creamy mashed potatoes and gravy I have ever had! (And I am getting on a bit so lots of experience). I did tell any of the staff who had time to listen tonight but need to tell the world now! Some plant-based menus can be disappointing but this was really moreish. In fact, the sooner I can get back there and have it again, I will. Well done Ladies Mile Catering Team for an excellent meal; terrific vegan menu (wish I'd had space for the pud) and for being ahead of the game. All vegans - run to the Ladies Mile.
It's a very unusual pub as it has lots of Art Deco fittings and fixtures! We loved it! The staff were very friendly, specially George went an extra mile to help me out on something very important! The gin & tonic was really an artisan's drink!
