Recently refurbed with a new chef at the helm this place is outstanding. Attentive service, local ingredients, outstanding brunches. I look forward to trying their new tasting menu which launches in July apparently. Best breakfast/ brunch I have had for a while and a great addition to the North Laine in Brighton

5 * for this gem.
Staff great, attentive good sense of humour, and happy to serve.
Food - had a burger with cheese and bacon, it was delicious.
Ambience was beautiful and quirky, nice touch with bottle corks. Many more details than what I can mention here.
Blue moon beer was served chilled.
Cleanliness - from what I could see it looked clean.

We had breakfast. I had the black pudding waffle which I highly recommend, although portions could be larger across the board. The beef and potato dish was a bit dry, it needs some kind of sauce to balance out how salty it is too. I would go again but strongly advise people not to order anything off the menu - my colleague wanted eggs on toast and ended up paying 7-8 quid for something very mediocre.
The Great playlist of minor swing and 1950s library tunes.

Great food and really awesome for a group of 12. Service was amazing and I was happy to see that the wait staff was willing to describe the plethora of wines in greater detail.

Had an amazing breakfast here this saturday! They have a champagne breakfast offer with a glass and a breakfast for only 15 quid. The eggs were cooked perfectly and a nice combination with bacon and avocado. Staff was really kind and friendly and the atmosphere in the whole place is cozy and inviting. Would recommend to everyone!

Absolutely amazing food! Had the scallops and carpaccio for starters. Both plates were licked clean. Also opted for the duck main and it was one of the best meals of my lifetime. The wine was also incredible. Highly recommend this little gem!

Huge queue but so worth it, and the food comes quick. All day breakfast 6people in front of us but it only took 10 min to get served. Quality ingredients cooked to perfection, from the classics to the more original of dishes: great choices of safe food well made.

The current chef team have yanked this pleasant wine bar with above adverage food to being one of the best evening restaurants in the city. we had 3 courses each 2 stunning cheeseboards and the food bill was only £35 each. You could easily eat here for less. If your a foodie and enjoy dishes and flavours youve never had you will love this.

One of my fav places in Brighton. Great location, right in the thick of it and it has a very good menu, wine selection. There is now a roof terrace which is lovely on sunny days. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Recommended.

Fantastic wine bar, fantastic food, great atmosphere. Just discovered this place yesterday and will definitely go back. Staff are very friendly. The wine list is fabulous. A real gem in the centre of Brighton.

Went in there earlyish on a Friday (10am or so) and was the first in I think! Spoke to Alex, a very friendly chap who got the chefs to make me what I'd consider a quality homegrown breakfast. Lot of locally sourced ingredients, including the best in-house baked beans I've ever had. After a night out drinking with close friends and family, was just the thing I needed to get me back to health. Only a few turns away from my uncle's place of work too. Certainly somewhere I'd visit again! Alex recommended their wine cellar, which for a place of that size is extensive and helpfully grouped by region on the tasting menu. That's something for future visits...

This was quite simply the best lunch ive had in Brighton and ranks alongside the best I've had elsewhere. Seriously seriously good quality and unbelievable price. Go now before they realise how good they are and push the price way up .. and I'm talking the 3 course set lunch. The wine. Great. The bread. Great. Food with taste and style. So go!!!

Stopped in for a burger and a bottle of Prosecco and was pleasently surprised by the exceptionally good food. I’m difficult to please and it’s not very often that I am genuinely impressed with the food on offer, but these guys nailed it!

Excellent food and amazing value for money - had four courses, beer, wine and whiskey for £50 a head including service! Service was excellent despite being a busy Friday night - highly recommended, I am sure we will be back. Even my wife enjoyed it and she is very hard to please when it comes to food! We’ve paid a lot more for meals elsewhere and left disappointed.

Amazing food - we had the duck and it tasted amazing. Quite a small restaurant but I liked the rustic nature of it. Very large wine and cocktail menu.

Highly recommend this place. Found it randomly on a day trip. Best dinner I have had for a long time. The sea bass was outstanding. Perfect balance of flavours. Nice ambience and attentive waiting staff. I'll be coming back when I'm next in Brighton.

Lovely place, with very welcoming and friendly staff. We had the G40 Benedict and it was absolutely fantastic!! Will definitely be visiting again on our next trip to Brighton.

Service was awful waited 50 mins for starters 40 mins for main course. Items missing of plates and a mushroom risotto that resembled rice pudding. Not happy

Best meal out in a long time!! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Thank you!

Wow! The best new place to eat in Brighton and I've been coming to the area for years. Fantastic food and wine and the management clearly know what customers want. The staff are really informative and I love the novel 'grow' concept. Recommended.
