I don't normally write reviews about restaurants, but after the meal I had here I thought I should.
I visited Dig in the Ribs with my girlfriend this weekend. We just happened to come across it while we were in Brighton and thought we would give it a go. Well I am so glad we did! What a fantastic restaurant! The food was delicious! Me and my girlfriend both had the chicken Fajitas and they are without a doubt the best fajitas I have ever had! To top it off the service was incredible. We didn't have to wait too long for our food but at the same time didn't feel as though the meal was rushed.
I would definitely be visiting here again the next time I'm in Brighton and I have already recommended it to some friends who may be visiting in the next few weeks.
Such a great night! Thank you!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at "Dig in the Ribs" with a group of friends on a weekend break to Brighton. We hadn't booked and were quickly greeted by a friendly waitress who seated us straight away offering us menus and taking our drinks order. We didn't have to wait long for our food and wow, it was outstanding. My ribs were moist and just melted in the mouth with a BBQ sauce that was to die for. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the salads all crisp and obviously very fresh. This, all washed down with some perfectly created margaritas and a lovely, social atmosphere made for a fantastic evening.
It was very reasonably priced for the quality of the food and efficient service and I can't wait to return on my next trip to Brighton. Highly recommended to all of my friends.

Me and my boyfriend recently visited Dig in the Ribs and we had such a lovely meal! The ribs were to die for and the cocktails were really tasty. I also couldn't believe how great the service was. As soon as we sat down our drinks were ordered. I felt a bit sorry for the waitress as it took me and my boyfriend ages to choose what to have as there were so many items on the menu that looked really good! But she was extremely patient and gave us enough time to make our decision. It was nice to be in a restaurant and not feel rush - Not something you get very often nowadays! I will definatley be visiting again in the near future. Thanks again guys for a fantastic meal!

My children and I visited Dig In The Ribs while on vacation, and it was amazing! The staff was very courteous, the food was delicious (the ribs just melt in your mouth), and the atmosphere was nice and cozy. Even though fantastic drinks were served (my sister and I went back for some the next night) there was not a large, drunken crowd. There was also not a long wait, fantastic restaurant. I will visit again if I am over that way.

I came on here to write a review after being in this restaurant at the weekend. It was fairly busy, and the wait staff seemed to be coping very well, despite there being a fairly large party in that seemed to be causing a little trouble. I for one must say that the food we had was outstanding... the ribs were delicious, and I have eaten my fair share of ribs! No disgusting harvester type pre packed ribs here, thats for sure! I would recommend this place to friends without a shadow of a doubt.

The Best BBQ I Have Had This Side Of The Atlantic!
If there is one things these guys know, It's MEAT! My other half and I consider ourselves the ultimate carnivores and we are always on the lookout for a good BBQ place and short of heading over to Texas, we are usually left a little underwhelmed. This certainly was not the case when we went to Dig In The Ribs. We both left feeling completely stuffed and very very satisfied.
The restaurant itself is rustic and looks likes an authentic BBQ joint and the smell of incredible sticky, smoky pork hits you as you walk in. The staff were friendly and fun and made us feel like we were already regular customers (and we will be!). They started us off with 2-4-1 cocktails which arrived almost instantly and we were very impressed.
After my other half took forever to decide what to have from the extensive and all tempting menu we ordered Quesadillas and Peel 'N' Eat Shrimp. Both of which were fantastic and the shrimp was beautifully fresh and tasty. I ordered a full rack of Digs Dirty Ribs and they were so unbelievably tender and practically fell off the bone, I cleaned the lot and drank the sauce (I am not ashamed).
My husband ordered the 14 oz T Bone Steak, mostly because he couldn't believe how reasonable the price was (£17.95) and as he always does; he ordered the steak blue. Most places overcook his steak no matter how much he insists he wants it practically raw, but Dig In The Ribs brought it out "still moo'ing" exactly as he likes it and he was very happy with that, and to top it off he said it was one of the nicest steaks he has ever eaten, and he has eaten quite a few!
I can honestly say this was one of the greatest date nights we have had together, the food was amazing to say the least, the service was excellent and the best surprise of all was the bill at the end was so reasonable we had to double check we had been charged full price.
Highly recommend Dig In The RIbs to couples and families. If you like ribs, well you are in for a treat!

Love love love this place! I have never had better BBQ in my life. The sauce is perfect. The ribs are smoky and full of flavour, enjoyed ripping the meat off the bone. Black beans and red rice were good side. Go!

As an American of southern descent I take Bar BQQ very seriously and I am especially when I’m in the UK so when I headed to dig in the ribs in Bright on I was surprisingly blown away. The first thing I tried was the appetizer, the Loose Bones, which was something of a revelation and for a meat lover like myself, it went well with the Half Rack and that zesty BBQ sauce. Give this place a try.

This is my favorite BBQ - it is usually where I bring family and friends when we meet for some eats - bit of a Man v. Food Atmosphere. Great food n' good service! Decor could do with some improvement though ;)

Landed there for my first meal on my first visit in Brighton. Fell in love. Great place, friendly staff, amazing food. No way I'll visit Brighton without eating there.

Started to try some of the restaurants in Preston Street again and forgot how good Dig in the Ribs is, nachos with beans were great and the cocktails are good too.

Went here at the weekend, seriously awesome Ribs! Make sure you try the dry rub and BBQ sauce.

I love the buffalo wings! It's very yummy. Not so crowded and don't know why?!

Used to be a regular here years ago and the place was fantastic. We went there last night, we originally thought it was closed because it was so dark in there, only to be told by the stern manageress "It says open on the window and door so we are open"!
My partner had ribs, which were dry and tasteless, the salad was dry , barbeque sauce was waterey. I had fajitas, they were OK (I could have cooked better at home)!
One waitress sat in the window on her mobile phone. The other waitress awkwardly kept asking if our lovely meal was okay!
There was no atmosphere here whatsoever! Was such a let down! It's such a shame because Dig in the Ribs holds such great memories for us! We wouldn't go back!
And shockingly enough I think the decoration is still the same as it was 25 years ago! 🙁☹️

Gone to rack and ruin, just like my full rack of ribs I had last night, dry hardly any meet and loads of gristle, worst I've ever had, accompanied with a few dried up chips bit of limp lettuce and a bit of rubbish coleslaw not forgetting the watered down pot of bbq sauce.
No atmosphere whatsoever, really shabby dated decor and the waitress just sat in the window on her mobile phone for the whole time we were there.
My advice don't bother wasting your money

We went out in search of some soul food and stumbled across this great smelling BBQ place. In the end my girlfriend and I chose a mexican option from the menu and woah were we glad we did! I love a good steak but ribs are my favourite so the Tex Mex Mix I had was perfect, i got to have ribs and all the side dishes combined in my main. It was just the right side of spicy and a really generous portion!
The service was fast, we enjoyed the music and the place was really fun. My GF had the beef fajitas and said they were great, normally when i have had beef in a fajita its been a bit chewy but she said these were really tender!
If you are down near regency square, stop in! you won't regret it.

So so so bad. Ribs were slabs of bone and fat. Cocktails were £15 jugs of watered down dregs.
The only positive is that you get the authentic, "I'm in a weird post world apocalypse" vibe about the place.

Food is outstanding. Waitresses are very helpful and know the food inside out. Well priced for portion size. Favorite place in Brighton to eat.
