Had a voucher for afternoon tea bought for Christmas. Went to Crafthouse with my friend. The staff were wonderful, from the receptionist, the waiter, the chef. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing, all home made. Would definitely recommend.
The food, service and ambiance were great. The Doughnut with the lobster bisque was very special. (Disappointed that the leek served with the halibut was so fibrous I couldn't cut it or eat it) would recommend the dessert sharing platter.
Perfect Birthday
Absolutely beautiful food, stunning restaurant, lovely ambience and Katie our waitress was an absolute diamond. First time at crafthouse and will absolutely go again. We had the 7 course tasting menu - beautiful. Highly recommend. Thank you Katie for making my birthday so special !
First time in Leeds found a few good reviews of this restaurant on line.
And made a decision to book it for our Anniversary dinner, so glad we did the place was contemporary but comfortable.
Well laid out dinning room cosy but not tight on space didn't feel like you were on top of the next table.
On our arrival we were shown to our table and were given two glass of champagne on behalf of the restaurant to congratulate us on our wedding anniversary. LOVELY TOUCH.
The food was contemporary, small but flavoursome.
All cooked to a great standard.
The service was good not to fast but there when you wanted someone.
It's not cheep but you get what you pay for.
If ever I'm back in Leeds this is one place I would definitely come back to.
Like to thank you for making our evening just that little more special.
Had a wonderful meal at Crafthouse on Friday night, food fantastic - my steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. The waiting staff were excellent - friendly, professional and nothing too much trouble. Really appreciated the staff reserving us a table at Angelicas after our meal. Also very impressed with Angelicas, we will be back again soon!
The Elderflower Trail is a new and limited availability event which is hosted by Crafthouse. The event takes you on out of the restaurant to forage for elderflower, back in to the restaurant to witness live demonstrations, take home recipes and best of all gives you the experience of eating Elderflower inspired dishes. The team at Crafthouse invited me and a few others along to test drive the event.
We ordered the set menu which was £23 for three courses and just under £20 for two. Personally I thought this was really great value for money. This set menu was very good and the staff super friendly and quick.
The firsts thing you'll notice when you look at the menu is that every dish has tons of ingredients.
That's because it's all meticulously arranged and the very delicate. The food isn't outstanding but very enjoyable.
We also ordered a bottle of Rioja which was nice and not too expensive (about £30). Although we didn't get one, there's tons of tables and seats by the window which means you get a beautiful view of central Leeds.
I would come back and recommend it.
So, it's about time I wrote my review for Crafthouse, being as I went a while ago, and haven't yet shared my thoughts. I was going to meet a friend for lunch, and we took advantage of their lunch time deal, saving a few pennies. Now, bear in mind that you're saving little compared to other lunch deals, but that the extra cost does assure you this: the food is great.
I don't know what else to say, although if you've read my reviews before, you'll know there's always more to elaborate on. I chose the roast chicken, being as I can't resist a Sunday lunch, and for dessert the creme brûlée.
The chicken came in the most delightful pot, and the leg portion was more than enough for lunch. It felt like I was basically having an evening meal, which is no bad thing. We had ordered some side veg, that had been steamed and buttered with finesse, as much as you might consider veg to be cooked with flair. The leg came complete with the gravy of goddess, and couldn't have been cooked better in my humblest opinion. It was juicy, tender, and was finished off with a crispy bit of skin.
I'm getting hungry just thinking about it, and I rarely find chicken interesting enough to ponder.
The creme brûlée was probably one of the nicest I've had. Not overly creamy, not sugary. A perfect balance. As for the ambience, well. I guess this would depend on your preference. I can't deny there's an air of exclusivity, and not least due to the prices. That being said, I'd encourage a visit for several reasons. As a treat it's fabulous, and I can tell you now, I've walked in wearing jeans and had no comment. Not even a look. The staff are all lovely, and the view is, naturally, totally glorious as well. Locally sourced menu, beautifully presented, and super tasty. Job's a good 'un!
It all starts with the view. Floor to ceiling windows in a restaurant that is positioned just above the beautiful sky line of Leeds. This view will hopeuflly encourage its visitors to look up when walking the streets of Leeds.
So the view is fab. On to the food. It is also Fab, delicious to be exact and even the cocktails were a mix of traditional and unique. Not to mention the endless supply of Prosecco for £10 if you go for lunch, as we cleverly (if unwittingly) did.
The staff are attentive but not annoyingly so. You feel special and would probably want to make a bit of an effort when you go to make the most of the feeling.
Worth a visit for a special occaision or in fact just because it is the weekend if you are that way inclined.
Busy, "in" crowd, plenty of hair extensions and false boobs, reassuringly expensive.
Average nosh - but a good night out!
Definitely worth the price, with lovely views, a great atmosphere and some excellent food. I would recommend the cauliflower soup!
I was visiting Leeds on a business trip and our hotel was right next to this restaurant. I didn't really get the chance to visit other restaurants and this one kept me nice and full. I liked it
My partner and I visited for the first time a couple weekends ago and we absolutely loved it! Staff are welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is lovely. For starters I ordered the asparagus, which I had never tried before and was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend ordered the mackerel, which was a tiny bit salty for his own tastebuds but still really enjoyed. We had the steak and the duck breast for mains and both dishes were incredible. Sticky toffee pudding to finish and wow! So delicious. The staff even brought a complimentary glass of champagne and small pudding for my boyfriends birthday. The attention to detail at craft house is immaculate. We both absolutely loved our experience there and cannot wait to go again.
Crafthouse is a very special place to celebrate an occasion. I had my graduation meal here and everything was perfect. The waitresses were kind, knowledgeable, and had a lovely manner. The setting is beautiful, so light and open with great views. Everyone in our party was very impressed by the food; the rump steak was one of the best I’ve had. The whole experience is value for money and when I’m next back in Leeds for a special occasion I would love to go again, highly recommend.
You need to know where you're going to find this place as hidden away. Set on the 3rd floor you take a lift and are met by staff. We sat outside as a lovely night and it was very pleasant. We asked for cocktails and placed our order saying that we didn't want starter until cocktails finished. They came when we were still only halfway through 🤨 Then we were almost onto our main course with no bottle of wine and had to remind them. Starters of tuna tatiki and the asparagus were very good. Mains of duck and the stone bass also good but I wasn't keen on the celeriac sauce . The extra chips were great and could have had more of them. A nice bottle of rosé completed meal and it came to £140 with surcharge. Nice staff but just wish they'd listened to our request.
30th Birthday Celebration 🎉
First visit and wow 🤩 amazing food, fantastic staff, and a wonderful atmosphere we will definitely be visiting soon
Team Crafthouse please keep up the great work 😊👍🏻
Very beautiful looking restaurant with rooftop terrace. Took husband for his birthday, food and service were spot on, we got a complimentary glass of Prosecco each and husband received a beautiful dessert plate at the end. Adrian looked after us very well. The food was delicious, our 2 year old really loved the items on the kids menu, she ate an entire 3 course meal. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you wish to treat your loved on to a nice meal in a beautiful setting.
Well, can I give a sixth star? What a great night we've had at Crafthouse, the welcoming, the venue and the care we received from the staff was very professional throughout the all experience. I booked for my girlfriend birthday celebrations and left a message due to dietary requirements, few minutes later I received a phone call from reception and they reassured me that all our needs will be met, she was right! The menu is great, and the execution of the dishes was faultless, superb so was the quality of the ingredients and the presentation. The floor staff is very knowledgeable and caring, all I have left to say is that I'll be dining at Crafthouse over and over again, I can't wait!
Came for the tasting menu with a friend and it was fabulous, service was great; didn't get off to a great start as we were sat for drinks then no one came over but then the man that looked after us during the meal was great, glasses always topped up and he explained the menu for each course.
Great Sunday Lunch! They also offer a bottomless wine option but don't say which wine it is off the menu... Wish I knew
The setting is lovely, the staff/ service was absolutely fantastic. For the most part the food was very impressive- I started with the bbq Cabbage which was just delicious. However, the cod I had for main course was way too salty for me- to the point I couldn't actually finish it. Apparently the other fish dishes were also very salty. It's a bit of a shame because the starters and desserts were lovely and the service was some of the best we've had so I really wanted to leave five stars, but I've had to deduct one for the mains.
Great places for dining and superb food. Full attention from the staff
