So glad we found this place whilst staying in Norfolk on holiday, it's so difficult to find good sushi outside of London and Soyokaze certainly meets the grade.
We have since purchased a holiday home about 2 miles away and ensure when we stay Soyokaze is first on our list of places to visit.
For anyone who hasn't tried Japanese food (it isn't all raw fish!) Or is looking for great quality fresh, food then would highly recommend you try here.
My first visit and Soyokaze is worth every 5* rating and more. The food was amazing, the service was very efficient and the staff were welcoming... I would most definitely recommend this restaurant. I can not wait to return
Amazing gem of a place. The food was delicious and would highly recommend the ramen. Great variety of dishes and sushi. The sake was lovely too. Staff super friendly and the whole atmosphere was perfect.
Update: been again for lunch and it was also amazing. Had the pork katsu which came with mizo and rice. So so nice. The pork was tender and delicious. Had a lovely pot of green tea with it
Authentic Japanese food
They’re not offering any sushi anymore but some extra vegetarian options have been added to the menu.
Highly recommend the Teriyaki tofu steak. Soft silken tofu coated in crispy skin. Perfect with the teriyaki sauce. The stir-fry vegetables are the extra plus so you don’t have to order a vegetable side.
Friendly staff and comfortable environment with Japanese decor.
The soup, fried chicken(sry l forgot the real name of it), and sushi are pretty goood!👍🏻 And the staff is humor and hospitality!!
Lovely and decent food, the taste brings back memories from Japan! Cheers for the Ramen.
Delicious sushi - very fresh and well made, quite a nice selection too, including eel. Friendly staff. Cosy place with nice window seats for those eating alone, offering upstairs seating too. My only criticism would be that maybe the green walls could be decorated more because otherwise they're quite bland.
Expensive but not too expensive, and besting in quality some other places in Norwich (haven't tried Shiki yet). I've seen that they offer lunch menu for a decent price; definitely worth having it if you're in town between 12:00 and 14:30.
Very cosy and authentic. Expect fresh fish that is perfectly rolled and full of flavour. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Some more choice of ramen would be nice but otherwise a well balanced menu for all. Would recommend.
Top ramen and Japanese food. Kirin beer very cold. Tonkotsu ramen broth divine.
Blown away by this little miracle of a place. Came in quite late but they were able to seat us and deliver some really fantastic food. All tastes and types will find something to enjoy, and their selection of alcohol was incredible! Will definitely be visiting again 😁
Absolutely loved this place. A real hidden gem in the centre of Norwich. Feeling spontaneous on a Friday evening. I called half an hour before to see if they could accommodate my wife and I for dinner. The staff were very helpful and friendly and they managed to squeeze us in at the last minute. The food is absolutely amazing and very reasonably priced.
We opted to share a mix of various small plates and everything was delicious, well presented and served promptly.
The drinks offering is decent so my wife opted to try a glass of the Plum wine while I stuck with the familiar Sapporo. We were so blown away by the plum wine we decided to share a bottle. It is the perfect drink to have whilst savouring the delicate flavours of the food, a wonderful balance of dry, sweet, tangy and fresh. The staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient. We will be returning again in the very near future.
Phenomenal… the only word for this place. Divine food with outstanding service from everyone especially Jordan. Will 100% be returning again! Thank you guys!
