Sadler's Bar & Smokehouse

We were looking for something/somewhere to eat while we were visiting Southampton. Rang for a table and the lady confirmed to just turn up and we were able to pick a table. Again there were 4 us including two children of which they had a children's menu to choose from. We were served quickly most likely because the place was empty on the Sunday we turned up. Food was also brought promptly, we were all left full and satisfied so much so I couldn't finish the full stack of ribs. My wife couldn't finish her wings either. The price of the food was fair and can't complain for the amount received. One downfall There was a rowdy bunch of men in that were loud and raucous. Staff were super helpful and attentive.

Fantastic food. If you like American style platters of different kinds of meat then this is the place for you. There was so much food and it was all great! The only issue is the table booking. For some reason, my table booked for 8 people was not on record, despite submitting the form and being emailed by 2 employees to check if it was booked. They had confirmed they had booked it but still wasn't on their record and we were put on a cramped little table for 4 as most tables were reserved(fortunate that only 5 of us turned up, but still not a suitable sized table.. When 80% of your table is taken up by the meat platter, it makes fully enjoying the meal a bit hard. If it wasn't for this issue, I would have given it 5 stars.
