Very warm and welcoming atmosphere, it is one of few the pubs that I am happy to go into on my own. Friendly staff, I have had many great nights here.

Great little pub with lovely beer garden. The guy who runs it cooks the roast himself and its vet nicely done. Kids loved it. Simple pub with no frills but if you want some nice home cooked food with good service and a nice glass of wine while the kids run wild in the garden, you can’t go wrong. It might not have the fancy decor of a chain but it’s a little hidden gem for low key family fun and very good service. Slide and bouncy castle in the garden. Only tip would be to jet wash the bouncy castle for summer and tart up the seating in the garden a little but I’m being picky. We had a great time and will be back.

The Junction is a wonderful place brimming with beautiful people. They welcomed these American travelers whole heartedly. The people there literally gave us the shirts off their backs and regaled us with tales of their lives and shared advice to help us on our journey. We swapped kits, stories, drinks, and laughs. They even taught us some properly colorful language. The next 10 pubs we visited paled in comparison. We can't wait to see the guys when they come see AppFC in North Carolina. All the best boys, Up the Squatch! Matt, Brent, and Will

Lovely roast & the Mediterranean vegetable tart is a nice original vegetarian option, & delicious too. Now it’s under different management it’s great to see the menu has improved. Will definitely come back.

We went to check the place out and were given a warm welcome. Such lovely people and nice selection of gins 😁 We can't wait to return and try the Sunday roasts.

Nice to see it open again. New landlord and landlady are great, really make you feel at home. Good range of beer, good reasonably priced food. Friendly staff. Keep up the good work!

Cracking pub. Good community pub full of life and character, and welcoming to all. 4 Greene King ales plus 4 changing local ales are on offer. Plus a large range of bottled beers, both Greene King and local. Great value for money meal deals. Great atmosphere and ambiance. The pub has a traditional feel, with original etched windows indicating the original rooms: Public, Bottle & Jug, Private, and Saloon. These have now been merged into one long horseshoe shaped space, which is like two large spaces joined by a curving, narrow banana shaped space. A recent fire has allowed the landlord to refurbish in a sympathetic but imaginative manner, keeping partitions and little nooks, but using a lighter wood, to give a cleaner, lighter look. There is a rare bar billiards table, and an excellent beer garden with children’s play area overlooking the railway line. There is much to like here. And almost next door is the South Western Arms with 10 casks on offer. Considered together these two make one of the best beer destinations in Southampton, second only to the Platform Tavern (which is a brewpub). If you come to Southampton, seek out this place.

Lovely young couple Matt and Chloe are bringing the pub back to how it was but better old faces I haven't seen in years little more time and it will be the best pub around great beer prices too
