I have popped in for a drink before, and it’s always been a warm, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
Amanda delivered the most polite, friendly and professional service that I have ever received in a food/drink establishment. Thank you for making my evening so pleasant from start to finish. The food was also delicious, so I would definitely recommend and return.

Walked in expecting a Greene King, but was surprised. This place has really delicious food from a strong, great value menu.
Highly recommend a melt-in-the-mouth steak sandwich (that beef dripping gravy is phenomenal) and what was some of the nicest salt and pepper chips I've had in ages - chunky chips and thick pieces of peppers and onion, really well seasoned.
We'll be back, as we want to try everything else!

I visited the Eagle and Child about two weeks ago with my family for our Sunday dinner. The pub itself has undergone a massive refurbishment and the outside area has also been improved. There's a large car park and allocated spaces near to the entrances for customers with disabilities. As a patron in a vehicle, you have to enter your registration number at the bar as there is a fine system in operation to avoid non guests from parking on site.
The inside of the bar is nicely decorated and has kept a lot of the features of the old coach house dating back to C1839.
The restaurant was busy on the Sunday evening we visited and I would recommend a reservation to ensure your dining experience.
Once seated at our table, we were given menus and our waiter, Matt took our orders. The floor staff were very attentive without being overbearing and our food arrived quickly. The Sunday menu was mainly Roast dinner and although it wasn't going to be my first choice, my god, it didn't disappoint.
Unlike the queue up and load up style of carveries in a lot of pubs these days, this was excellent.
Presented on a large plate, piping hot, with plenty of meat, vegetables and Yorkshire pudding, oh, and a separate board of side dishes including cauliflower cheese and gravy. The meal was a great combination of flavours.
I don't normally go for a sweet course after a large dinner but on this occasion, I decided to push the boat out.
Once again, I demolished the plate and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The pub was great, the staff were great and the food was great but don't take my word for it, book a table for yourself and give it a go. Support local pubs.

Came here yesterday for some food, we hadn’t booked but they managed to squeeze us in. Staff were lovely attentive without being in your face! Ordered the lamb rump and the pie on the specials it arrived in good time and was so worth the wait. It was absolutely the best food we’ve eaten in a long time couldn’t fault any of it and was so worth the money. If you haven’t been yet then you need to get over there. By far the best pub food south side of Liverpool!!

Went for a casual drink during Christmas period. Lovely cosy atmosphere, staff very cheerful. Didn't plan on having a meal but the fish and chips smelt and looked nice so we decide to be lazy and ordered a meal each to save cooking are selves that evening. The meal didn't disappoint very tasty and excellent value for money. Would definitely go again.

More than just a local pub, this place is its own community within our village. Staff are amazing, food and drinks are amazing but the community feeling and welcome you get here isn't matched in any other pub I've ever drank in 👍🏻👍🏻

Nice place and good service also pet friendly, a little bit noisy and crowded if there is a football match but it's okay if you enjoy

Went yesterday with my sister. We was warmly welcomed. The face-lift the Eagle has
undergone is easy better. It now looks beautiful.Plenty of monitored parking. Spoilt for choice with the menu. Delicious food and no long wait. Price was also very reasonable. Lovely, friendly and attentive staff. I cannot wait for next week..!!
Thank you to everyone at the Eagle.10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
